irod stone cold swim and bladed jig rod
I purchased this same rod earlier this season for the same thing you are going to use it for. I love the rod. You will be very pleased with your purchase. I like it so much, that I am planning on buying another to throw bladed jigs.

Pearl or glacier?
I like using a SK rage tail Menace grub as a trailer for my swim jigs. I am wondering what color you think would work better, with a sexy shad, and baby bass swim jig. Glacier, or pearl? The links below will show exactly what I am taking about, as far as colors go. Thanks for the help. http://www.***.com/Strike_King_Rage_Twin_Tail_Menace_Grub_8pk/descpage-SKRTTMG.html http://www.***.com/Dirty_Jigs_No-Jack_Swim_Jig/descpage-DJNJSWJ.html

Dirty Jigs No-Jack Swim Jig
Does anyone fish these swim jigs? I was looking at them on TW's sight, and I'm looking for any feedback you may have on these swim jigs. Thanks.

Bladed jig?
What brand of bladed jig do you recommend? I want to start throwing one and, other than Z-man, what is a good bladed jig. Thanks for the help.

What gear ratio do you all use for a swim jig reel 6.4, 7.1 or something else? Thanks for the help.

Rage Tail craws
Rage rig all the time, and I am starting to use them as a jig trailer, too.

Best Frog Rod/Reel
The Tatula 7'4" heavy froggin rod is a great choice. I have one and love it. I can cast a mile with it,and it has a ton of backbone to pull them out. For the price it is a great choice for a frog rod. I paired mine with a Quantum smoke speed freak reel. The combo feels great and at 35 inches a turn the reel moves the bass well.

Chatterbait, Spinnerbait, etc. Rod and Reel?
Look at an iRod Gen 2 Stone Cold swim/bladed jig rod. I have one and have been fishing it for a few months now and love it. Light weight, balanced nicely, and the right amount of tip and backbone when setting the hook, with a swim jig, or bladed jig. And for $150, its a great deal.

Culprit Fat Max Worms?
Thanks guys. Any color recommendations? Other than the basic Green Pumpkin, and Black Blue. Some of the color combo's look good.

Culprit Fat Max Worms?
Anyone use these worms. I was looking at them and thinking of trying some. I have never used them, and don't know anyone who has. I am wondering if they are good producers? What size hook are you using with the 6" worm? Thanks for any help.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
That fish was caught in Johnson's Pond. And it is the new state record. The old record was 10.5 from 1991. Johnson's Pond had a major draw down this fall, and winter to fix a d**n. The pond was little more than a river at that time. The water is back up now, however. I grew up on that lake and it has always produced good fish. I was in a tournament there a few years back and, an 8 and 7 lb fish were caught. My father caught one that was almost 8 back when we lived there, too. As far as, fishing pressure goes, it use to have tournaments almost every weekend, and a Thursday night tournament every week. Also, there are a ton of houses on the lake, and receives a great deal of boat traffic on the weekends.

Seaguar Tatsu-what have I done??
I got my spool yesterday and went out today and used the 2 rigs I lined up. This stuff is amazing. By far the best fluoro I have used period. The increase in casting distance is very noticeable. The smoothness of the cast is something I did not expect, but the line casts so much smoother than what I have used before. After using it, I can say the price will not be an issue. I will be buying more to spool up some of my other reels.

Spro or Booyah Pad Crasher
I have fished both and I prefer the Pad Crasher over the Spro.

Seaguar Tatsu-what have I done??
I have a spool of 15 lb Tatsu on the way from TW. I am glad to hear how manageable the line is, as I was having all kinds of problems with another brand on my swimjig set up.

Chatter bait setup
7' MH St. Croix Mojo, with a 7.1:1 Lews, with 15lb P-Line fluro. This is the same rod I use for spinnerbaits, as well.

Swimjig
I had good luck last year using a Rage Tail Menace grub, on both a swim jig and a chatterbait. I matched the trailer and bait. Bluegill for the swim jig and GP for the chatterbait. Good luck

Daiwa Tatula XT 7'4" H frog rod
I am interested in what people have to say. I just bought the same rod recently, but I have not used it yet. I can say it is light, and I paired it with a Quantum smoke speed freak reel. The combo feels great.

Good frogs
Go with a Booyah pad crasher. Great price. High hook up ratio and durable.

Preferred line for swim jigs?
I have been experimenting with lines for my swim jig rod. I am wondering what most of you recommend when fishing a swim jig? To note, I will be fishing around light to moderate cover, and open water. Also, I use 1/4 to 3/8 oz swimbaits. Thanks for the help.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
I was at Webster Lake on Sunday. The fishing was slow. My club had a tournament there, and most of the guys caught no keepers. 2 guys caught 1 keeper each, and 2 had 5 fish limits. I had 4 fish. All came from using a sexy shad jerkbait. They were all caught on the the drop from shallow to deep. Also, I caught a real nice rainbow trout. Definitely the biggest rainbow I have ever caught.

Swimjig Trailer
I know it's not a boot tail swim bait, but I had alot of success last year using a SK Menace grub.
