I plan on using the Rage Menace grub as a trailer on my swin jig and bladed jig this year. My question is for the guys that use this trailer. How do you rig it? I mean do you rig it horizontally, so it's more like a craw, or vertically like a fish tail? I'm sure both will work, but I am curious as to which would be more productive. Thanks for the help.
  5. I like the Rage craws when I'm fishing a Rage rig. When I'm using a Texas rigged craw I go for a Zoom speed craw. I plan on trying Paca craws this year.
  6. I am looking to start throwing swim jigs this spring. I am interested in the KVD swim jig in the bluegill pattern. My question is about the trailer color. I was looking at matching it with a SK menace grub in either bluegill, hard candy, or candy craw. Which of these would make the best color combination for a swin jig? Thanks for the help.
  7. Seagur Invisix would be my choice. Not overly expensive and a very good line.
  8. Has anyone been to Mashpee-Wakepee lately? If so, how is the bite? I know that lake gets hit pretty hard, and I have a tournament there in a week. What have they been hitting? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just bought a 1/4 oz black jig. I am wondering what color trailer would be more effective. An all black, or a black/blue? Thanks for the help.
  10. I recently bought a Powell Endurance 775. I took it out for the first time yesterday and was throwing a 1/2 oz. footbal jig. I was flipping it and casting it around, then I went to set the hook on a bass and the rod snapped about 1/3rd down from the tip. My question is; could casting a flipping rod cause it to break, or was it most likely a defect in the rod? Thanks for the help.
  11. I know alot of you guys really like this bait, but I have had little success with it. I want to give it another try, and was wondering what kind of set-up you use to fish this bait. ie; line size, hook size, spinning reel or baitcaster. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
  12. Which rod would you recommend for flipping light to moderate cover with a slither rig and working football jigs. A Duckett White Ice 7'3" Heavy Pete Ponds, or a Powell Endurance Flippin' 764 FLIP. Both are the same price, so that is not an issue. Thanks for the help
  13. I know alot of people on this forum like Strike King products, so I am wondering how many of you use the rodent? Also, which do you find more effective the rodent or baby rodent? Which colors do you typically use? Thanks for the help.
  14. I have 2 avids and don't find the cork overly bulky. They are great rods, but I would not recommend shaving the cork.
  15. Does anyone use a Duckett White Ice 7'3" H Pete Ponds model for flippin and jigs. If so, how do you like it? Any reviews , or input is helpful. Thanks.
  16. I am heading to Webster Lake next week and have never fished it before. I am wondering if anyone has fished it recently, and can help with some info. What lures are working? Colors? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  17. I have 3 and have been using them for about a year now. I love them. I bought one and then bought the others, because I liked them so much. Very smooth, good drag, nice handle,a nd all around great reel.
  18. Does anyone use this line? I am thinking about using it for my spinning rigs. How is the knot strength, line twist etc. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  19. How do you build one of these ris for punching? Thanks
  20. I am just starting to use these baits. As I've read many post here singing there praises. However, I am wondering what you guys find more effective; using the baits with the appendages together, as they are in the package, or seperating them? Thanks for the help.
  21. Thanks guys. Grampa. are your directions oriented from the boat ramp heading out into the lake? Any info on what lures and colors work best for Singletary? Thanks again.
  22. I am fishing in a tournament on the 10th of May at Singletary Lake. I have not been there in a few years and was wondering if anyone has been there lately. If so, could you help with some updated info on what lures have been productive, and how the bite has been overall. Thanks for the help
  23. What is a good jighead for swimming grubs? Also, what is the time of year is ideal to swim grubs? Thanks for the help.
  24. I am thinking of putting braid on some of my spinning rigs. I am wondering what would be the best/strongest line to line tie for a fluro leader? Also, how long of a fluro leader should I use? Thanks for the help.
  25. I started using brush hogs and baby brush hogs last year and I love them. I catch more fish with the baby versions, but both work. I have tried many of the other baits mentioned includung; pit bosses, little moe's and space monkey's. I have found that I catch more quality and quantity with the brush hogs than othe creatures and most other soft plastics in general. Also, I am going to start using Big Bite Baits Fighting Frog this year. I hope I have as much succes with these, as I've had with brush hogs.
