Gravel or pavement?
If you do not have an option and have to drive over a gravel road just go slow. What I hate the most about a gravel road are the pot holes. I hate hitting a pot hole when trailoring the boat.

Where can I buy Worden's Roostertails online??
Once again, Muddy is right. You may have to go to the web site and order what you want. Many of the retailers do not order all of the different color combinations; only the ones they think will sell. So I agree with the Muddy Man...go on line and make the purchase and then have a good time trying them out.

Do you have a favorite fishing memory or outing??
Nice story, Muddy. I have a lot of memories fishing both fresh and salt water. Now I have nightmares about the ones that got away. Age will do that to you.

Bank Fishing Tackle Box?
Yes. If there is structure and you can get your treble hooks hung up then avoid throwing them since you cannot "float" over to the tree or bush and pull them out. Try your Texas rigged Senkos and finesse worms fished weedless. Try your wacky and shaky head presentations. Don't forget to give the drop shot a shot! Try your spinnerbaits, tubes and jigs; your creature baits and lizards; and your brush hogs and beavers, etc. Topwaters of all kind are good, especially the buzzbait early in the morning and late in the evening. Trick worms, Pop-Rs, RICOs, Chugg Bugs, frogs and the like can also produce. You can always give your Rat-L-Traps and cranks a shot if you do not mind losing them. By doing this you can determine if they are a good alternative to throw. Or, you can throw a Mann's Minus One and see how that works out. If you do get your bait stuck in the struture or cover you may want to leave the line attached to the lure so you can get a raft one day and go out and find the lures by locating the floating line. Keep your pliers in your pocket as you roam the bank to help remove the hooks. Bank fishing is a lot of fun even if you are limited to the areas where you can fish. Have fun.

finally a decent spot
Keep the spot secret. Do not let anyone else know about it. Throw out some peices of white bread to attract the fish back to the spot when you go back. Don't forget your pliers to help remove the hook. Have fun.

what bait to use for panfish
Small Roostertails in white/grey or white/black spots. Use a barrel swivel to help reduce line twist. Small white curly tail grub (1/2 inch is best if you can find them or a 1 inch as the largest) on a 1/64 jig head. Once again, use a swivel to help reduce line twist. Gulp!'s yellow perch bait in the jar. White bread rolled into small beads and placed on your #6 gold hook. Small kernals of cooked corn out of the can. Peices of Nightcrawlers or other worms. If you want to attract the panfish to your area then take some white bread, tear it up into peices and throw it on top of the water where you will be fishing.

panfish lures
Try your post in the "Other Species" section. But with that said, I have caught bass on a white and grey Rooster Tail designed for panfish in addition to small white grubs fished on a 1/64 jig head used for fly fishing. Bass will hit panfish lures, including those fished using a live worm and with a bobber.

In-line Buzzbaits???
Google "In-Line Buzzbaits" and see the various web site that appear. It seems to be an easy lure to make.

College: Learning to cook
Great you are learning to cook. Remember to also learn how to sew, make the bed, do laundry and clean house, especially the bathrooms. Just follow the receipe's directions and after a few months you can start adding spices and make other changes to improve the meal. Bon Appetite!

When You Croak
My wife and I had a discussion today as to what she would do with all of my fishing stuff. She has no idea of the value of the rods, reels and tackle so she said she would probably give the stuff away as our son has no interest in fishing since he got married. I have no idea what other interests he would have but he is no longer interested in going out on the boat early in the day and not getting home until late in the evening. So, what plans do you guys have for your spouses or children to dispose of your fishing gear when you finally go to that big lake in the sky? I am thinking of making a list of guys who to give the stuff to, free of charge. What are your thoughts???

Carrot Stick Came In
It would be nice to hear from you guys during this upcoming fishing season on your Carrot Sticks and how they performed. I am still dubious about them and want some feedback during and after this fishing season on their performance. After all, if you are fishing with a Carrot Stick everyone knows you are fishing with a Carrot Stick and it would be nice to know that you will be catching something when fishing with the Carrot Stick. Makes sense?

Do you have any fishing quirks?
Buzzbait. Just have to start the day with a buzzbait. Even if it is not buzzbait weather, I have to have a buzzbait tied on to a baitcaster, just in case. Dumb? Yes, but that's the way it is.

big fish lure?
Try to find Briery Creek in Virginia via Google and see what baits they are using to catch those monster bass. I have heard that a 10-inch worm is dynamite. I am sure the Briery Creek guys can help you if you can find a good site where they post their informtation or there are some good articles. Good luck.

Did you try a drop shot or a jigging spoon? Just keep trying. Your luck will change. And speaking of frustrated. How do you think Saban is feeling as he knows he will never defeat LSU or Auburn ;D again? Now that's frustrating!!!!!
