  1. i never tried but always been curious has anyone had any success using hollow body frogs and smallmouth on rivers or criks if so what size or brand frog were you using and retrieve ive used torpedos buzzbaits and soft plastic frogs but never hollow body
  2. actually depending they can get bigger or in my case they push in from the river for a period of time and the venture back out to the river and vice versa and the Susquehanna is a known smallmouth water system that has large smallmouth
  3. as you can see most of the water is primarily shallow less then 8 ft but the fish lurking there are nice size and not to mention the fight youll get out of them is incredible even small ones run like a 10lb
  4. there some grass patches that one came out of the first one came from a log jam near some grass the other off a bed but my tax return is coming son and thats what im buying is a kayak and ive seen some monster musky in the waters i fish just been trying to find some reading on how to fish criks and small rivers on them
  5. and these also all caught out of the conodoguinet crik which is primarly very shallow
  6. this one i caught last winter on a soft plastic craw black and blue in maybe 40 degree water if that
  7. all i do is wade for the ol bronze back in criks and my profile pic is of a female that just got done spawning she weighed out to 6 something caught her on weightless zoom trick worm i had to pin her in ankle deep water she put up a hell of a fight
  8. so the zerust tabs are a good choice it sounds like too
  9. most fo the river and crik are very very slow moving water luckily

  11. thanks for the tips guys they are all sound advice
  12. i do a lot of river and crik fishing and i noticed some of my lures and hooks are getting rust on them and i know to try and keep everything dry and let things dry out but sometimes i forget so my question is what can i put in my utility boxes to help absorb some of the moisture in them to help prevent rust? i also drilled holes in all my boxes to help drain teh water
  13. thank you finally someone young who understands i went to bass pro today bad idea btw but i was looking them both over ad i feel like the 12t will be the one
  14. see i looked at the reviews and the same complaints with the leaking but everyone has also mentioned ways that it can be fixed and im 23 and money doesnt grow on trees for me as much as i would love to buy a ws or something nice like that its just not gonna happen
  15. thanks guys i mean anyone have the 128? im curious i mean the thing is huge and the crik i fish in isnt that wide but the sesquhanana has some wide areas so if you were me what route would you taje
  16. thanks guys and i was planning on doing the same thing with the pull up strap if i did get it i mean i like the 128 but the thing is just massive
  17. i have a couple questions about it i want to get into kayak fishing since i do a lot of river and crik fishing and mainly wade it and this one seems pretty good for a decent price i mean from what i read you can stand in it but i was wondering if anyone owns one and if they do how do they like it? also i was wondering how easy would it be to add accessory rails to it since it doesnt have any and lastly if anyone does own one how easy is it to build a cart for it
  18. thanks for the advice everyone and it does have the flat footing area and the one for 700 is deff large and made to dance on i saw it at bps a week ago when i was there and ive been checking craigslist its just most of the yaks on there are those dicks or walmart specials or white water yaks but ill deff keep my eyes peeled thanks
  19. yeah i know balance has a great deal with it but i mean they have the larger one and this new one which is slightly smaller in length and it says you can stand in it and i fish a crik where there is very slow to no current and ill fill small lakes where you can only run a trolling motor the larger one is 700 this one is 550 i wanted to get a ws ride but 1k is a little much when you work part time and go to school
  20. so i got the bps spring fishing classic flyer and i saw they have a new kayak thats a sot fishing yak and it says you can stand up in it and fish from it but the other one for 700 has a pull up strap and this one is 549 so i was thinking with my tax return buying it but i wanna know if its true you can actually stand up and fish and cast from it if anyone knows please let me know
  21. my question was about a blank but i might just go with the carbonlite 7 medium fast action i have the 6'6 and i love the rod its great so i might just take that route unless someone knows another good rod 7ft that can lob an 1/8oz weight and has a fast tip i dont wanna spend more than 150 though so if anyone knows any good rods then please let me know
  22. thats true i mean the weight is 1/8oz i usually use soft partial hollow body craws sometimes full solid body
  23. yeah senkos are something i use a lot of ive been using a light weighted hook i got from w-mart and they are like 1.50 they are made for senkos and ive been throwing those in breaks and around bigger boulders and have had great luck with them
  24. yeah thats what im worried about is it if it can load a 1/8 oz t rig craw or tube i see they have a ml blank i might go with that but i just hate lighter power rods just feel so flimsy so im debating its tough cause i want a fast tip and a 7ft rod but i mean i dont wanna take a risk and find out that it doesnt load it well then im sol and at the same time i dont wanna get a ml blank this is a tough spot to be in
  25. thanks pa angler and i know all about hangups ha and the idea with the ss is genius i wanna give a new look and i mean the traditional texas rig gets the job done but i like trying new things
