  1. So my biggest problem since we're only going for a short weekend is trying to limit what I take since will only have a carry on and my girlfriend being the trooper she is has let me use mine strictly for fishing ha but the measurements are 18x14x8 so I'm thinking one 3600 for hard baits which will consist of fee frogs few jigs maybe a popper or 2 and also gotta keep it under I wanna say 40# so trying to limit my terminal tackle and soft plastics is a must so with that what soft plastics would you fl guys think is a must have other then senkos and swim baits which I have gambler easys in a few diff colors
  2. Thanks guys I think some of the ponds are man made they way they taper our in long points I'll probably have to make a trip to bass pro this weekend to stock up on some baits for me it's a total 180 I'm a smallmouth guy thru and thru so of course I luckily have a lot of green pumpkin variants
  3. I've fished down there a few times ww last August and fishing was terrible first time three this March started putting a pattern together believe it nor biggest fish 7# got caught off a ned rig and a few 4# off senkos in the shallows since it was an unusual cold front they went shallow to warmer water but as for colors any suggestions on plastics I always hear June bug but mine were caught off gp variants and the bama bug ned rig
  4. I apoglize if I should have to went to regional with this but girlfriend and I going to Florida week of the 6th of August and was wondering beat way to target them I'll be in the gulf side outside of Tampa close to saddle Park and Tamarac byt she also has a ton of ponds in her neighborhood so mainly will be pond hoping not sure on exact depth of them but I figure frog flip pitching the mats but any other suggestions would be great
  5. Power team lures 25% code July 4
  6. So wasn't sure where to post this but yesterday got home lugging in stuff and the cord I had on my sunglasses one of the little rubber holder popped out and of course my Costas hit pavement lenses down so now I have noticeable scratches more like little mini craters but I was looking on three website and it says a 100$ grand total for repairs my question is has anyone does this before and how's the turn around time from. When they get sent to when u get them back it's better then dropping another 200+$ for new ones I should mention they are the glass lenses not plastic
  7. Field and stream fast sale kazen braid 50$ for 1500yrds about only good deal
  8. You guys are making this so much harder for me ha I can officially say I'll cross Jackson off my list now it comes down to the atak 120 of radar I mean I'm not gonna get the helix or pedal just due to the areas u fish the shop had a 135 bit no 115 last time I was there so I couldn't judge them side by side
  9. Thanks for the input I guess how does it track for you and how's the turning in it are my. 2 bug ones really
  10. So I know they arent all the same but I'm having a tough time trying to choose which one best would work for me it will be 97% river and creeks with a few small lakes so hence the reason for the shorter length as of now I'm leaning more towards ws due to the he fact have a dealer 15 minutes away but just debating which one would work the best in moving water situations any suggestions would be great
  11. For northeast guys susky fishing tackle 15% almost everything for fathers day
  12. Even though they're a dime a dozen I had a special heddon baby torpedo that had custom props new trebles including feather few little accent colors this thing was a smallmouth killer I remember one day before the rains came in i was a local park and conditions were perfect this old timer was watching me literally catch 8 in 8 cast all back to back he was going crazy this guy came down and was fishing from the boat ramp while I was Ib the water stock regular size torpedo in leopard frog not a single bits the old timer was ecstatic telling him what he saw mine do fast forward to last June went out when I got off work at about 530am fishing it in front of a large eddy 2 20" smallmouth after I released the last fish and cast back our got blown up and as I set the hook saw the markings of the infamous toothy menace before I could do anything my line went slack I spent 5 days hunting the musky and saw him in time with it still hooked in his mouth and I can't count how many times I took a dive to get a lute back I keep goggles and flippers on my tackle bag I leave on the shore when I'm wading

See I got a large number of great fish in this state and I wade the susky and have no issues but also a lot of the creeks hold hefty smallmouth and once you catch a smallmouth you're hooked 98% of my fishing is for the brown bass
  14. Benbo thanks for your advice and some of the waters are pretty skinny and that's why I lean towards the 120 I looked at the perception pilot today I mean for the price you can't beat if you want pedal drive but the actual kayak is just lacking in general
  15. Junky I got the same email I have in my. Shipping cart juat debating if I should pull the trigger
  16. Rolo I was thinking the same exact thing I mean jeez since this post I can't even begin to count how many different lines I've tried right now running 832 green and I love it granted color fades a little quickly but not a big deal to me with a leader
  17. In the bacj hatch the rectangular one of you open that it has firm inserts to stage rods let me try to upload a pic I thought it pretty nice little design to have in the inside of us kayak https://goo.gl/images/4Zq3jM The way the hatch is long but narrow to give you the ability to put rods in which I wish they would have done with the 120
  18. That helps a whole lot actually thank you if I rember the guy at the paddle shop said if I rember correctly the atak could be fitted with a motor but no pedal but don't quote me either way though there's a lot of drop in and pull outs on the river and creeks and I was planning on getting my girlfriend a kayak too Judy something not so pricey maybe the catch 120 but a little bit of water luckily won't bother me since I do a lot of wet wading the one thing I wish the 120 had the 140 has is the rod stager inside the kayak very nice little added feature
  19. So Im torn between the radar 115 or atak 120 I understand both have certain features other doesn't but I guess I'm leaning more towards the atak my question is how does it handle in skinny waters and mainly moving waters ie creeks River etc that's a bulk of what I'd be using it for so the pedal or motor drive aren't a big necessity
  20. Like oakey I live close to the susky and the creek I fish spills into it and my productive baits are deff tubes usually with a wire weed guard due to the huge slab limestone senkos rigged weightless or light like 1/64 or 1/32 weight hooked casted up stream and dead stocked down and of course craw baits and also at least in my area prop baits like torpedo or crippled killers are extremely productive more so then walking baits and of course spinner baits burned pretty fasf
  21. Smalljaw thank you so. Much I think I remember you talking about this on tu actually ha
  22. Thank you so much that's exactly it so now do you exactly modify it I'm not out looking to make a buck just for personal use where I fish the river and creeks are a lot of lime stone chunk rock and shelves and it's prety common to get hung up with bullet sinkers
  23. So on a few different sites I've seen them selling what they call reduced snag or dragging head weight on the hook and usually a hitch keeper like this https://river-rock-custom-baits.myshopify.com/products/crawler-head-jig Or http://confidencebaits.3dcartstores.com/Draggin-Head-18-oz-Regular--4-Pack_p_13.html So my question is where can I find this. Mold to pour myself I've been. Looking high and low without much lick
  24. That's my only concern I've ive tried straight fc in the past for myself with mixed results and went to braid with a fc leader should just get her a new rod with the microwave guides ha she's using my old bps Carbonite the black ones and it's Sen better days including a replacement tip Top but she loves that rod might just bump up the braid to a higher # with my stradic I can count on one hand how many winding knots I've had 1 but then again I do all the things my instinct now to keep the chances low might try the p line cx premium and see how that works for her
  25. We are using 15# on hers right now the idea of her practicing isn't a bad one at all and I've considered putting cp on hers cause most of her techniques are bottom or weightless plastics
