I didn't realize there was a 50 and a 200 series. From what I understand the 50 is for light line and lures, which I didn't know. I have been using it for spinnerbaits/chatter bait with 17lb Cajun line. It has me wondering if I am using to heaving of stuff for the reel? How would reel perform to let me know I do have to heavy line and lure on it? Thanks!

They are both on sale, twenty dollar difference. Just don't know how much difference there is in the reels.

Is there much difference between the two bps reels? I am looking to get one for frogging/top water. Thanks

It has no problem with distance. Just accuracy and awkwardness, not as smooth going as my med action. I am wondering if its due to the more stiffness of the rod and being in sitting position. Probably just have to keep working at it.

I cast my other rods smoothly and accurate but with my ZR top water rod it is more difficult and a little awkward. Any one else have same type issue casting a top water rod from kayak?

Bought some pp 20lb for BC but having second thoughts due to digging in, is this a legit concern?

Having second thoughts about putting it on my BC so wondering if it would work ok on spinning reel.

I have used last year and this year. It is strong but you do have to watch for fraying.

Thanks for all the tips. On the ones I did catch the hook was dug in pretty good, so not sure if sharpness of hook an issue but didn't check either. What are you using to sharpen them?

I am sure I had them hooked. I think maybe I need to get better with using SB.

I have been out a few times using SB, had plenty of hook ups and caught 7 to 8 on SB. But two times I have had two nice size hooked up but they got off. Wondering if I am doing something wrong. On MH rod with 50lb braid. Curious if drag has anything to do with it, what should it be set on? Any tips appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I will be fishing around a lot of trees and stumps out of water in shallow swamp area. Pond area has open water but some areas with sunken taken trees.

Hello all, I am wanting to try swim baits but don't know much about them. I kayak fish in water made up of two ponds with shallow water area that connects the two. Water can be clear or muddy depending on where at. Any tips appreciated on which brand to try. Thanks!

I think I know the answer, but smaller lb braid cast farther? Makes me feel silly asking but just want to make sure same as mono in the respect. I somewhat rookie at braid.

Thanks for the help. I just always assumed a compltete tight drag will keep it from moving at all.

When someone say they have drag set at so many lbs how do they set it to know it set at certain lbs?
