As far as the collar goes, if the collar deteriorates won't the jig skirt have deteriorated by that point? And if I don't loose a jig I wear the paint off the jigs head or destroy the weed guard from catching fish before wearing out the collar. BTW I have the $5 pen tool but I am brand new to jig building and haven't used it yet.

What should I use to epoxy the weed guards in?

Good luck! I didn't have any luck. Over by the campgrounds the carp were up in the grass rite on the bank, I think you may be able to drop a small piece of worm or corn in front of them and get them to bite. If it's all catch and release there is not much more fun than fighting a big carp!

That pic does not look like a 11.5# fish . However I know that at the end of the day looking back at pics sometimes a 6# looks like it's the same size as a 3# fish. but as far as a 11.5 I haven't ever caught anything near that big but I think it should look bigger than that.

Just keep in mind I went to my Chevy dealer a while back and asked them if chipping my truck would void the warranty. They told me that if any drive train warranty work was done Chevy would make them pull up the ECM (I think?) and send them a shot of it. This would tell Chevy if it was altered or EVER had been altered and they COULD refuse to warranty any work.
