A Black & Blue flake Senco is my "if all else fails" go to bait. As far as water clarity goes, normally if I stick a paddle in the water I can only see it for 2-3'.

Yea a 50# would be good but that's not ultra lite

They are not like a Bass at all. They are capable of making long runs and don't wear out quickly. I'd say they fight more like a catfish.I'd try using 12# Yo-Zuri line, I think it breaks at around 19#.

The next time I went to use my scales they were about 8# less than zero and sprung. I am not sure what this girl weighed but I do remember one of the many times I was able to get my hands on it I also had a hand on the line and it made a run and the line immediately burnt / cut my hand luckily the line did not break!

Look at the stripper guides. If it's to small for me to get my thumb in it I'd pass on it. I love micros but I think the stripper guides need to be at least a size 20 IMHO. I think the Carrot uses a size 16? I am not sure about the size on the rage but look down it to see that the guides are straight. I have a Rage casting rod and it's one of my favorite.

If you want more power look at the Tournament MG it has a longer handle but it only has a mag break.
