  1. I think the 50e is better at throwing light baits but other than that the Lew's is the shiznit! I have a set of Bocas on the way for my TP! Anyone have a team lew's? How do they compare to the TP?
  2. I like my Kistler's. I'd also get the one with micros.
  3. BEER!!! It's dinner in a can.
  4. I had but sold a 7'M Veritas. If I remember it was a bit light for squarebills I now have a 7'6'' MH Veritas and it's way stiffer.
  5. For LIPLESS If I use a 7'm I'll use a f or a ef. In my Kayak I only take 2 rods! I normally take a 7' and it's either a f or a ef (depending on the day) Both of them work great on a lipless crank. If I am also throwing squarebills I'd rather use a MHM Glass... crank rod,
  6. How does this compare to a core 50? Do you have/used both? I've been looking at buying the PX R but I only have one Daiwa and am not overly excited about it.
  7. You'll spend less time fishing and more time WFO if you are anything like I was! That is until you see how much gas it'll burn. Beautifull boat!
  8. I have a 7'MF Shimano Sellus Crankbait Rod that works good for lipless. BTW it's $60!
  9. I's say no to the heat. You may try Lacquer thinner or stripper on a cue-tip. Or a Exacto knife or a small file. Be careful with the insert.
  10. Your dream truck should have had a long bed.
  11. Ebay for new or used. I got 1 of my TPs in like NEW condition with box for under $100 tmd!
  12. A buddy of mine has an Edge and a stacker on a 01 Dodge and he loves it . BTW he's a mechanic by trade. I 'd like to do something to my truck but It could void my warranty.
  13. It depends on what you call lite. I throw a weightless fluke on 12# fc without a problem
  14. If you want to try them by all means go for it! If you are trying to find a cheaper version of a bait you like that works good for you in a certain color you might as well just buy the original ones you know work.
  15. I'm not LEO but I think your talking about the second amendment, the rite to bear arms. And yes open carry SHOULD be legal. You need to check with your LOCAL LEO before you try it. For example I can not carry (ccw) on a state park. I interpret this to include state managed lakes.
  16. I ended up getting a E5 Curado used and bought Boca's and carbon drag for the same price as a new Carbonlite but if I can get one for $90 at the Classic I'll be all over it.
  17. I played with another one that was screwy? you could feel/hear the "gears" in a spot every rotation of the handle. It was the same spot every rotation of the handle? The odd thing was if it had some end play in the spool the noise went away but if you gave it any spool tension it would make the noise.
  18. CCW all the way!!!
  19. Everyone should own at least one. I even bought one for my wife and kids. someday I'll tell them about it but until then ...fish on!!!
  20. I had to look again and you are right, It was the new E21 not the Platinum that had the micros I was thinking of.
  21. For a good cheep scope I'd look at BSA or NC Star. 3x9 or 4x12 should work well but I don't advise anyone to shoot much beyond 200yds. It just gets too iffy beyond that.
  22. Anyone seen the new Villain rods by Abu? I'm not sure I can get past the reel seat ! Maybe if they put a lime green rear grip on it the reel seat wouldn't stick out as bad. Anyhow it's nice to see them with a higher end rod ($180). I'm curious to see how it'll stack up against some other rods in that price range? I also saw that Cabela's has a new $200 White rod that looks pretty nice and has micros. Anyone know who makes rods for Cabela's?
  23. I suppose I should really address the second part of you post Pros= Price & if you reload specifically for your gun you can develope a far more accurate round than can be store bought. Cons= A 45 ACP CASE IS VERY LARGE IN COMPARISON TO THE VOLUME OF POWDER IT NEEDS MAKING IT EASY TO DOUBLE CHARGE!!! This means you can easily add the powder to the case twice by accident. A lot of rounds like say a 223 will not hold 2 loads and sometimes need the powder to be compressed by seating the bullet to get enough powder in the case but the 45 can actually get a double charge and not look over full.
  24. I shoot handloads 100% of the time out of my 4'' XD45 I will only load (230gr) FMJ. I don't like to touch the lead if I don't have to. Unique or Universal are decent powders for 45 ACP, I'd be curious what powder they use? Maybe we need FMJ Sinkers to fish with?
