  1. If you are in pads a MH should be fine. If you are around grass mats were you drag in a 5# fish with 5#+ of moss... I'd go with something heavier. I just checked mine is a 7'6'' extra heavy.
  2. I guess it's time to switch to winter oil. lol On a side note I have an unopened new bottle of Hot Sauce oil I'd sell . I'm scared to use it after some of the stuff I've read...
  3. Simply put, use it to throw your lightest baits.
  4. I use a 7'6'' Heavy TFO Signature series rod that costs $99 One of the places I "frog" is from the bank and the further I can cast the better =7'6''.
  5. Use the Curado & buy a rod once you get to Naples
  6. I have a Tournament MG Speed Spool I've only used twice that's in new condition (no rash) with box... spooled with 50# 832 I'd sell for $110 TYD.
  7. Modify a Crab trap?
  8. A big thanks to Red for his GREAT gift! I haven't tried the Zipper worms yet but can't wait!
  9. If you don't use this on ALL your line your missing out. With this stuff and a short break in period you shouldn't have the problems your having with your lines. http://www.basspro.com/Kevin-VanDams-Line-and-Lure®-Conditioner/product/66168/56085
  10. Do you use L&L on your line? If not you NEED to.
  11. I have nothing against you getting another rod, but other than it being a bit short for my tastes (I like 7') your rod should work great. I vote =st croix xtreme 7'1 med
  12. I can't open it till Christmas.
  13. Even more reason to get a 50 & 12# FC! I love braid but if you don't have a reel with 12# FC (or something close)... You have a big hole in your arsenal.
  14. IMHO, from the Citica all the way to the Core you can't go wrong they all work great. Just figure out your budget for the reel and then buy the one that's just out of your price range. If you don't have a 50 yet I'd get one!
  15. Get it & try it out if you don't like it sell it. btw, I'd buy it from you.
  16. I think? you mean curing salt? If so the Soy has plenty of salt. I'd like to try the smoker sometime but I will say I'd rather have it Dehydrated than cooked in the oven. Another thing you can do with it (not jerky) cut it into steaks and pan fry it breaded in fish fry.
  17. Hint= Let DVT do it, the guide wrapping part sucks.
  18. Thanks guys I had a few problems and more than 1 guide had to be rewrapped before I added the finish. I used Metallic size d thread that was not very user friendly for a first timer but in the end they turned out great.
  19. It clicks in at a whopping 10.4 OZ
  20. I have wanted to take some pics of this & post them for some time but it's just more fun to fish with it than to try to get pictures of it (probably why it's so dirty). It has a MHX High Mod 7'M-EF Popping blank ,Fuji Micros, Minima seat & I turned the handle down from a piece of Eucalyptus Burl. The pictures don't do it any justice but it did turn out great. This pic makes the last 2 wraps look bad for some reason?
  21. I have that one and like it a lot. The Rage rods are polar, you'll love them or hate them. I am wanting to see one of the 7'11'' rods but due to crooked guides I won't buy one online I want to see the rod before I buy it.
  22. Wrap a stick around my line & bend the hook straight.
