Got out this morning a caught a redemption fish after Saturdays dink fest at sleepy creek. Is it fall yet!

I got out this morning and tinkered around in front of the dam in williamsport catching a few small ones and a few rocks. Got back to the house and crawled into bed.....knock..knock..knock TW delivery. End of story. Thursday night tournament at 4 locks. Hope to catch some fish.

No fish in the lower section from NPS. Might be some down there frome the top section but I don't know.

Hahaha boat tour. My woman was operating the boat in the afternoon. They are going to be raising the old train drawbridge in the future so the boat tour can go all the way into the basin. I'll ask her if they stocked the lower section.

Fished shepherdstown and destroyed the 10" bass. Not a keeper all morning. Bait of choice was fluke and pop-r.

What part is that?

Had some lower potomac action last week. Boated about 7 all around the same size as the picture. Couple on a speed craw and a couple on a vibrating jig.

Hit the lake this morning. Clarity is good.

Been hitting Blair's valley after work in the mornings here lately testing out jig patterns. It's been pretty productive from the bank but going to have to get the boat out check some deeper areas. Lost about a 5-6lbr this morning. Here is a good one from last week.

You get out to black hills

Big pool is 5-6' low. If there is a sink hole it think I found in with side image. Perfect circle on the bottom.

Guy trolling around bumped a rock, threw himself off balance and got knocked out during his fall. The dam sucked in the boat. He survived and they flipped and pulled the boat out.

Don't end up like this.

The Shenandoah was up and flowing yesterday. Perfect day for my relentless spinner bait fever. We rounded up 13.6 to take second place. There was only a 14 boat turn out. Think the high waters scared some people away but they missed out on a solid day of fishing. Down side is my tournament winnings will go towards replace about 5 spinner baits and a couple crank baits. Fish were around there spawning flats and of course current breaks. I started the first half of my morning strong putting 5 in the live well before noon and befor my partner could catch one. Things changed in the after noon. Looking in the live well I could see all the crawfish the fish were throwing up and tactics changed. Threw on a red craw spinner and my partner tied on a jackal aska craw pattern. Two cast in I broke off a 4 pounder 3 inches from the net. Not only did she break me off she proceeded to jump two minuets later throwing the Spinnerbait from her mouth. Felt like a big FU. My day was done but my partner finished out are our day by culling out a couple fish with his crank bait. Only one fish under 15" was caught. Not a bad way to end my weekend and get some side cash.

Dang my job site is about 1/2 mile away. But I won't be striking around to fish after work.

Seems like the beautiful days are the worst days to be fishing. Was out on black hills Sunday planing for a knock out day but only could pick up 5 fish that went a healthy 13lb. No big schools of crappie on the graph yet. Did mark some big fish lurking in the bottom but thinking they are big catfish. Next 2 weeks should really be good. Caught my first black hills catfish and probably my personal best channel cat. Seen a wounded crappie floating in a area I think is a big bass factory and a light bulb went off in my head. We the next cast I let my bait sink pretty deep in the water column and when I wet to real the was weight. Long story short after 15 min of playing with this thing out popped a fat cat!!
