I have it on my 17ft jet boat. When the trolling motor is stowed would like to continue to use the transom mounted transducer searching for structure with down and side scan. But say I find a structure pile and want to drop shot to it. I don't wanna have to go to the back of the boat to drop down at the transducer to watch my bait drop. My minnkota fortrex has the US2 built in. Is there a way to use both transducers off one unit. So I could use the US2 off the front of the boat for the 2d sonar and us the down and side scan off the rear.

Right now I'm using the transducer supplied with the unit on the transom for down image and side scan. But I want to be able to use my the 2d sonar off the trolling motor with my US2. Is anyone doing this? Do I need a splitter cable or a transducer switch?

I wasn't sand bagging. Just trying to figure the fish out on a new body of water. But I will say after you had a 3rd hit on a fluke, right away I knew I could put fish In the boat. I'm ready to go back! When fish is rough/tough it just means your not as well rounded as you think you are and it time to figure it out. (My opinion)

It's kind of what I expected when I knew we were going there. Had a great time, but there where to many missed opportunities and time wasted on unproductive tactics. If we do it again I'm sure we will be on that grass

I might stop by black hills on my way home today to get a visual.

I have seen props manage in Williamsport. You would need the right water level and recommended to hit the chute. Don't try to go up the creek it gets shallow.

I know this is dirty but here is another one I hooked up with on Saturday. I had a pretty good big fish bite right in the morning but it shut down quick. On tips what I kinda was figuring out was the big fish were still hanging in deeper water while the smaller fish were relating to some kind of cover right off the shore line. I had two pretty good techniques that would land me a fish here and there but only one area where the wind was blowing in that was producing a couple. Every week they have been in different areas. Search and remember depth is how I went about my day. Water temp was reading about 56 to 60 for the duration of the time I was there. I herd Sunday the water temps really came up so I would focus on hard bottoms and structure. Hope this will help some

I still think black hills is in a funk but managed to get 8 to the boat. You could have did some wind surfing on the main lake today.

Stopped at black hills on the way home and made some cast in the rain to make sure the fish were still there... Boat ramp in the A.M.

Don't underestimate traps in the river.

I might get out to black hills tomorrow and sore lip those fish before Allen gets to them.

Yea I was solo again. Talked to a few and they were having a tough day. I put on about 7:30 and fished to 2:30. Put a total of 12 in the boat and lost 1. No big girls just two 3lbrs. Fish are kinda scattered from steep banks, wood, and points. Would like to get back tomorrow and try to work some spots allitle more thoroughly but it's not gonna happen. Any one else get out?
