Will My New Reel Hold Up To Large Bass?
So for example I should think about what size line I need for the fish I could catch in my pond and go from there? I know there are some 10#'ers and if one decides to bite, I don't want to lose it. So I'm guessing I should use a 10# test. Now that I know what test to use I should look here... http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/products/reels/spinning/Spirex.html I see the 10 pound test shown for the 2500 and the 4000. So either one of those would be more optimum for my application, right? Is my logic above correct? Is this what you guys are talking about? Thanks for all the help!

Will My New Reel Hold Up To Large Bass?
If I had to bet I would say they're are some 12 pounders in the lake I live on but I seriously doubt there are anything bigger than that.

Curado 200 E50 And Crucial Cranking Rod
I have both the Curado 200E7 and the 50E. I love that little 50E...it is very light and super smooth. It's my favorite reel but may not be good for the heavier lures.

Will My New Reel Hold Up To Large Bass?
I ordered a Shimano Spirex 1000 and planning to use 20# braid. I'm wondering if I should have stepped up to the 2500. Will the 1000 hold up to say 10 pound bass? It says it only has a 7 lb drag. Thanks for your help!

What Line For My New Combo???
Hey guys! I use baitcasters for just about everything but I’m having a hard time using them for skipping and night fishing for bass in my pond. I decided to buy a spinning rod and reel. I went with a Duckett 6’-6” MH and a Shimono Spirex FG spinning reel. Since I’m a beginner, I have been using mono for the baitcasters but I’m thinking this setup would be better with something other than mono. My plan is to use it as an all purpose spinning setup for catching bass at night and skipping under docks. They get up to 12# in my pond. What fishing line do you guys recommend? Thanks for your help!

Have You Ever Seen This On A Fishfinder?
Ok...so it's the depth of the fish the number is beside. I will try it with fish ID off. Thanks for the help!

Have You Ever Seen This On A Fishfinder?
It doesn't just convert the arches to fish shapes? Seems like it would be the same accuracy only with a different shape. What am I missing here? Thanks!

Have You Ever Seen This On A Fishfinder?
It's not depth...depth is on the side.

What Kind Of Fish
It is carp for sure...I see it here too.

Have You Ever Seen This On A Fishfinder?
My fishfinder is set on fish ID mode so it shows little fish shapes instead of small arches. Sometimes the fish shapes have small red numbers next to them. What do the small red numbers mean? Thanks!

How Do You Cast???
I use two hand but it seems like I would be much more accurate with 1 hand.

How Do You Cast???
Do you cast with one hand or two if you are casting for distance from the bank?

Why not buy a Curado 200E7...you can find them for $135 nowadays.

Duckett Review
Ok, first I gotta tell you I'm a beginner. I have fished with lots of Wal-Mart specials, lol! About a month ago I bought a Curado 200E7 and an Allstar 6'6" MH rod and loved that setup. It was a lot better than my Wal-Mart combos. About 2 weeks ago I decided to buy a Duckett 7'0" MH. I put the Curado 200E7 with mono 15# on it and I'm amazed at the difference in the Duckett rod and the Allstar rod. The Duckett rod was about $50 more than the Allstar rod but it felt like a $400 difference, lol. The first thing you notice about the Duckett when you pick one up is how light it is. When casting the first thing you notice is the distance. Yesterday, I was fishing with a 3/4 oz spook with no brake tension and with the Duckett rod, I can cast that thing a country mile. I'm so impressed that I bought a 6'6" M the other day at BPS. I’m going to put a Curado 50E on that Duckett. Have any of you tried a Duckett? I'm wondering how it compares to some of the more expensive rods.

Curado 200E7 Vs Curado 50E
I know about the size, line capacity, and gear ratio differences but what is the difference in terms of recommended bait? What bait types work better with the 200E7? What bait types work better with the 50E? Thanks guys!
