  1. so you are worried about spending 20 bucks on a paint job for a $50 bait that you throw on a $200 reel, and probaly a $200+ dollar rod spooled with $20+ of line out of a $50,000 boat? I am kidding, I am Kidding..... just wanted to razz you a bit. really I wouldnt worry about taking it apart, just cover the hair on the tail and protect the line tie. post up some pics when you are done, I am always in awe of paintjobs.
  2. its probably just work the $20 to send it to someone and get painted IMO
  3. lmao I am sitting here thinking how I throw a hudd68 and the pictures show the bass chasing 2# trout #shouldifeelthisfoolish
  4. I must be doing something different..... I use mostly the 7in for shaky heads . Could that be it? I just dont see the issue, maybe I am lucky.
  5. i dont get the robo worm concern.....is that an issue? I never thought it to be.
  6. slonezp pretty much summed it up...... I had a terrova i pilot, sold it with my boat, and new boat came with cable steer, and now I am looking to go back to i pilot just for the spot lock!
  7. the pm-1 is really the only serious long term choice when talking about cranking batteries, IMO.
  8. full grips for me on everything....... I have one split grip and dont like it, which sucks cause it is on a 742dx which is one of my favorite rods. split grips to me just dont feel right. If you are a split grip guy then as soon as you touch it you will love it... if you have to think after touching it, stick to full handle.
  9. OHHHHHHH DADDY LIKE!!!!! to those that have never used the Owner Deep Throat, you are missing out. when you stick them with this hook, they are STUCK, and more often than not its deep into the rook of the mouth.
  10. sounds to be a solid club! almost split 50/50 plus a 2 day classic at one of the BEST lakes in the country!
  11. everyone speaks of line and such but the coathanger of an Arig disproves it somewhat. the fact that the Arig works better the clearer the water makes the line thoery even more blown up. thats my story and I am sticking to it.
  12. congratualations on the grand child....... extra fishing partner in a few years!
  13. I dont know your experiance so take mine with a grain of salt. you dont drift "at the dam" per say..... you are actually down river a bit....even more so when it is really rolling. Granted I been when it was 75k..... but I gather from conversations and such the more current, the farther down you go.
  14. well, I didnt go this past weekend. it was fact the fact I heard the shad kill was in full effect (i heard this thurs 1/16.) the guy said "dead shad are everywhere" so I didnt go over there. if anyone has been the last 7-10 days with first hand sight.......lets us know. thanks
  15. some of those are rich ........I will enjoy reading more after work. it takes a lot for me to laugh out loud...but that did it.
  16. seems you dont have a medium heavy with 15#...... that could round out your line up.
  17. I guess if it works it works.........but it just hasnt for me yet. good luck to those that it works for though.
  18. yes you need a charger bank for each battery in the boat. if you have 3 batteries you need 3 bank charger.
  19. aint no doubt about that! LOL and going forward MIZZO looks good in the East. The East just doesnt have a dominate team, so it might as well be MIZZO. Florida is in shambles SC cant stay healthy/ cant get over the hump GA spits the bit every year everyone else in the East in an also ran at this point. so it might as well be MIZZO-RAH.
  20. so Mizzo fans are claiming ALL the SEC NC now? its funny how Mizzo is normally an 8-4ish ball club but now MIZZO is some powerhouse because they are in the SEC? The SEC brainwashing is clearly severe. I hold no ill will towards MIZZO fans, as they have a good enough program to be proud of, but leading SEC chants after one year is a bit "sellout".
  21. the advantages of the onboard are worth the price of admission, IMO. they are truly, no hassle, plug and play and never have to second guess if the batteries are ready to go. good luck and I hope you find the result you are looking for, and your pops stays safe.
  22. 3 batteries = 3 bank onboard charger..... problem solved, no? keep a booster pack in the boat for "just in case".
  23. I know that................ I was talking about "bargin being able to fish with someone" and boaters having all the expenses..... basically saying the boater is entitled to boack boat a guy. Thats the way it SOUNDS, I am sure nobody here is arrogent enough to think that, so I might be reading it wrong. only thing I do to my boat is change the foot oil, make sure the oil res is full... I think many boaters get that glitter boat and it blinds their manners. JMO.
  24. I dont get the "boaters are better" mentality. who buys a boat, depending on others to give them gas and such? I bought my boat cause I wanted it, and wanted to fish when and how I wanted......I didnt buy it to be an ******* and think I am entitled to something. I think some boat owners are just stuck on themselves and most clubs are too. Jon, I think the best thing to move to another club, hopefully a team club (I think they are better) that is if you cant get it to where non boaters fish against each other
