  1. Keep going and keep at it. If you only have an hour then go, if you have more than an hour then it ups your odds. I've had many good fishing days that included stretches of an hour or more where I was skunked. Keep at it and stay positive, I have a feeling that you are a better angler than you give yourself credit for.
  2. Great catch and good review .
  3. I just started fishing these recently and I'm very impressed. . So far durability is not a concern and I have not had a problem with hooks sets using a 7' heavy action rod with 17 lb floro though I could probably get a with a little lighter line and a MH rod more than likely. I'm also liking the weedless Hudd 68, it seems like the fish stay pinned on the weedless hudds better than the jig style based on my limited sample size with this style .
  4. Love this bait so far, need to add Watermelon Candy .
  5. Same here, I like the bigger 3/4 and 1 oz size as they are louder. Slow rolling the 1 oz in app 10' - 15' of water is an effective alternative to lipped crankbaits. The knocker seems to be at it's best in the summer based on my experience .
  6. I also like the Baby Hardgill, caught some good ones on it this year.
  7. Very impressed with the Rage Structure Bug. Lot's of vibration. Seems to attract bigger bites. My only complaint is that they don't offer the Candy Craw color .
  8. The 7" BVD is my go to in spring for a big swimbait .
  9. My experience is that the Baby is better for numbers but the full size is great for big fish .
  10. Versatility is my go to presentation. Different baits/ techniques for the various seasons and taking into consideration lake type & weather conditions.
  11. I like the 6" BBZ, like Crestliner my favorite color is Wicked Perch. I've also have caught a few on the 8" but they don't seem to be any bigger so I usually stick with the 6" size .
  12. Speaking of Hudds, I've been fishing the weedless Hudd Shads a lot lately and I'm very impressed with this bait. Matt's hard Bluegill's are fantastic , I also like his tournament series baits . The River to Sea live eye bottom walker is one of the best bargains in fishing, another good bait to fish .
  13. The 6" River to Sea Live Eye Bottom Walker is a nice bait for slow rolling in deep water and is very reasonably priced. I've caught a lot of fish on this bait. Recently I've been using the Weedless Hudd Shad and the Weedless Hudd68, I've been impressed and was pleasantly surprised at the hook-up ratio. These baits can be thrown almost everywhere .
  14. That dude don't mess around ! I thought a 10" or 12" worm was big .
  15. I just bought some GO2 worms just a few days ago, thanks for the report I'm looking forward to trying them. I like the Picasso Shaky football heads, stands the floating plastics up at an approximate 60 degree and being a footballhead it doesn't tip over easy .
  16. I would tend to favor a shaky head or drop shot in that type of lake over a T-rig plastic when fishing softbaits .
  17. In my opinion you will catch more with a floating plastic. The salted baits will catch fish on the fall and if you shake it & drag it just as the floating plastics do. The difference will be apparent when you need to deadstick it, in that situation I'm putting my money on the floating plastic.
  18. I've only been using it a short time and generally in tough conditions when my bigger baits are striking out. That said it's a fish catcher, I've stuck a few Bluegills & Crappie with it for some multispecies fun. I like how it wobbles on the fall almost like a hardbait version of the Senko. I'm definitely intrigued and will experiment more with this bait .
  19. It just fishes differently, I have very well on more than 1 occasion fishing it on a T-rig with a 1/4 pegged sinker pitching into holes in the grass. Lately I've had some success on grassy lakes using a VMC springlock weighted hook ( both 1/16 & 1/8 oz sizes ), it still has some of the Senko wiggle yet the bait glides more on the fall and fishes a little faster. The Senko like most soft plastics is far more versatile than some anglers realize .
  20. My attitude exactly which is the reason I fish baits like the Senko & some of the Rage line because they put fish in the boat. As suggested get Mend It if durability is a concern otherwise pick the baits that work the best, you can always buy more .
  21. Good job on the 6lber, looks like you need to update your Personal best in your profile .

I've some success this spring fish Senko's on weighted hooks can't see why it wouldn't work well for the Yum Dingers. This one seems like a good match http://www.***.com/VMC_Drop_Dead_Weighted_Hook_4pk/descpage-VDDWH.html which is the VMC weighted hook. Gives the Senko a nice gliding action and a little faster drop .
  23. I will add Jika Rig to the list, worked very well for me with a 1/4 oz weight and 4/0 Trokar EWG hook this spring .
  24. Wacky is the top method for me but don't limit it too only that application as it also performs very well rigged other ways. Yesterday I killed them pitching it on a 1/4 oz pegged sinker Texas rigged. Falls quickly without a lot of weight and no appendages to get hung up .
  25. I would personally recommend straight Florocarbon or a braid/floro connection.
