new lures at Icast
I think Daiwa & Shimano have some cool stuff on the way as far as reels go.

Best big worm? 9-12 inch
My favorites would include ... Culprit Fat Maxx 10" Power Worm Upton's 9" straight tail on a shakey head Xcite Maximus on a mag shakey head the Big Bite Baits 10" Kriet Tail ,don't see a lot of talk regarding but it is an excellent bait and very reasonably priced . This a little bulkier than the Power worm by comparison.

What seems to never work for you...
To all the guys struggling with jigs may I suggest you try little finesse jigs with small trailers . This will hopefully build up your confidence in this presentation. That said I've been very inconsistent throwing Blade baits like the Silver Buddy and yet I've heard great reports over the years that the are a top notch presentation in cold water. I had one outing where I did well on the 3/4 oz size a few years back but not much outside of that.

What's your biggest Whopper Plopper catch?
I've caught 5 and 6 lbers on the 130 size here in SW Michigan. Those are big bass in my area, that said it's an all or nothing bait as with most topwaters it works on occasion but not day in and day out like a Senko. That said I have a rod dedicated to it because when it's on it is one of the best baits out there for bigger than average bass.

Floating jerkbaits?
They still work especially while they are spawning or just after they spawn and to me it's a totally different action than fishing a fluke as the above poster suggested. Great bait for clear water when you need a subtle top water bait. That said you will best served throwing them on a medium action spinning rod with 8 lb mono in my opinion.

They ARE crazy... but i like it!
I've caught Bass on the Duck it's a decent bait. I use braided line and have had no problems hooking fish with it..

7 inch yum dingers?
I've done well with the 5" stick worms with a 1/4 oz pegged sinker for grass fishing, intrigued with the potential bass that could be caught with the larger size. Thanks for sharing.

7 inch yum dingers?
This is something I've been wanting to try, if I may ask what size sinkers and hooks do you typically use ?

How Many Rods?
It varies depending on time of the year , somewhere around 20 combos.

best brand of spinner bait?
I don't claim to be a spinnerbait guru , of the ones I tried I prefer the S.O.B Mini Me, Peppers and Strike King brands.

in search of larger soft creature baits.
Some that I like ... Rage Magnum Structure Bug Rage Space Monkey Magnum Baits Mauler

Livetarget spinner rig
I don't have a lot of time with the bait but it has caught me 3-4 average Bass so far in about an hour half total time so far. Looks good in the water and I'm reasonably confident it will producer at the right place and time. Time will tell if it will be a mainstay in my arsenal.

Best Glide Bait? I-Slide vs Claw 178
Get the bigger Shine Glide, fishes much better. They are supposed to be coming out with a 10" size in the near future for those who are interested. I like the GanCraft but I usually shave the joints a little for a wider Glide , this is a bait that has done well for me in the Perch color.

California Swimbait, anyone use 3:16
3:16 baits produce, I like the Rising Son, hard Bluegill and Wake Jr. That said the hard baits are difficult to obtain and pricey so their are number of them that I have yet to try.
-
4.0 Square bill
I bought a few and in my opinion their hooks are trash so you will probably want to replace them anyway.
-
Swimbait Storage
Try this for your soft swimbaits ... For your soft swimbaits with bent tails if you boil the tail section for about 30 seconds or so it should restore most of them. For large hard swimbaits I take the large deep plano boxes and with a dremel tool remove a couple of rows to widen it out , it definitely helps if you are prone to take the more is more approach to fishing tackle that I do as you can store a lot more baits that way.

Tungsten jigs
I was looking through Sieberts Tungsten Pitchn Jigs. I'm curious what size & brand hooks are used on this jig and I would like to see a picture unskirted to look at the keeper etc.

Lipless one Knokers Booyah vs. Xcalibur
I don't think they make the new series in the 1 oz size which is my favorite . They good news is I stock piled them.
-
XPS Products
They do have one bait that I think is a killer shallow water crank which is called " the Egg " , goofy name but a top notch crank after you replace the crappy hooks that come on it . XPS Florocarbon is quality line, that said I prefer Sunline Sniper. Here's link if you want to check out the Egg https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-xps-lazer-eye-the-egg

Shimano baitcasting reel
For guys that use Shimano and want to get them serviced try this guy ... http://www.reel-ex.com/

Evolution Baits Grassburner
The Senko & Whopper Plopper are 2 baits that initially did not set the world on fire sales wise but are now staples in the tackle boxes of many bass fisherman , maybe the Grassburner might end up being a must have bait for topwater fisherman. I have not used the Grassburner but based on dozens of very positive reviews that I saw on Tackle Warehouse it seems like it would be a good one to add to the arsenal.
-
Rapala RipStop
I have not used the Rip Stop but the Shadow Rap is one of the best jerkbaits out there and compares favorably to the Japanese jerkbaits on the market in my opinion .

Favourite Squarebill Crankbait
For regular size squarebills the Strike King and Lucky Craft RC baits are very good baits. That said my favorite is the Strike King Mag 8.0 , terrific bait for low light conditions and it seems to draw bigger bites more consistently than regular size squarebills. I just picked up a MegaBass Grenade which is even bigger, looking forward to trying out this spring.
