Tolling Motor-Not Working on intermittent
Welcome to the forum! This happened to me once. In my case, a screw had worked loose on the bottom of the trolling motor pedal that held the intermittent button tight. Not saying that's the problem, but it's a good place to start.

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, and The Race For The Pennant Is On!
Well, not for what the Reds would ask, there's a little young talent that they simply won't trade. Usually there's some veteran players to be traded on these bad teams, but the Reds don't have much there. Zach Cozart might get traded, but he has had a little lingering quad injury that makes me wonder if he'll be traded. Scott Feldman's name was out there too, but he just went on the 10 DL for a knee injury. I'd like to see some moves made, but I don't think much will be happening, we'll see though.

My team would probably be sellers, but they don't have any players that anybody else would want to have!

Lightning while fishing?
I've been through many pop up thunderstorms in the summer, if you've got some empty docks with roofs around you've got it made. I've taken shelter under overhanging bluffs, and under bridges and dams too. Quite a few times though, there's been nothing like that around, getting to the back of a little creek under some trees was the best I could do. Weather apps are great, but with most of the lakes I fish there's no cell service on them, so they don't help me one bit when I really need them.

Cherokee lake or Douglas lake
Cherokee isn't really polluted (no more than other lakes in the area anyway), the water just has more color to it, especially up the lake. They're very different lakes, Cherokee has more of a mix of things, bluffs, channel swings, transitions, long points, and tons of humps and islands. Douglas just seems like miles of gravel and clay banks that all look the same. Both have quality fish, I don't think there's really an answer to which one is better, they're just different. One thing for sure, they can both be very tough lakes to learn, especially this time of year.

Amen! It's funny how most Abu fans (myself included) still rave about the Gen2 reels.

Mustad treble hooks any good
That style of Mustad isn't bad, especially if they're marked down. The ones they call "ultra point" are the ones to have though.

Miamisburg Ohio here....
Welcome aboard! I was born in the Dayton area, grew up fishing the Mad River, the Great Miami, and some ponds up there.

Stuck in a Rut
The ole jerkbait has finally slowed down the past few trips for me, it sure stayed hot a lot longer than I expected. Now I'm onto the best buzzbait fishing I've seen in years, this is a rut I wouldn't mind getting stuck in, I love buzzin'.

Pike County Kentucky
I don't fish the far eastern lakes here in KY much, but I fish Laurel and Cumberland a lot. I go south to Norris quite a bit too.
- Best buzzbait?

River fishing for Bass
Finesse jig with rage craw trailer. Then a buzzbait or walking bait when I want something a little faster.

Booyah Buzzbait (clacker)
I like the booyah clacker. I've got an old one that I bet I've caught over 200 fish on. Those and the cavitrons (when I want something a little more subtle) are the only two types I throw anymore.
