  1. I'm sure a lot of fans feel this way about their teams, but the Reds have to be the most frustrating team out there. They take 3 of 4 from STL, then sweep the Dodgers, and you're thinking they're finally playing some good baseball, and they may even win the division. Then they turn around and lose back to back series against the Cubs and Brewers, flat out giving away the rubber match today blowing a 5-1 lead. Giving their fans hope one minute, then crushing them the next, has really become their M.O. Hey, the thread has gone a little quiet, thought I'd offer up another Reds rant to liven things up a bit.
  2. Yeah, and the sad part is the 06 Buckeyes were actually a lot better than this years team. The Bucks might be a serious contender in a few years, but this team had better pray they never have to play against the SECs elite.
  3. I'm a Buckeyes fan, and I'm as sick of the SEC as anybody, but you have to be a realist. OSU wouldn't have a chance against any of the top SEC teams, and they've proved that twice in national championship games. I hope the SEC goes down this year, but I don't see it happening, nobody out there is good enough to dethrone the top SEC teams.
  4. This 57 Ford was beautiful inside and out, one of my favorite cars of the show:
  5. ] This 68 had an original 428 in it, and was a 4 speed car...I really should have taken a couple more pics of this one. These Mavericks all were actually pretty hopped-up, headers and aluminum heads nearly all of them.
  6. I just wanted to share a few pics for our car lovers we have here. The theme for this show was Mustangs, I didn't hear the final talley, but I believe there were over 500 in attendance, possibly over 600. A lot of other cool cars too.
  7. I got a CRKT M16 a while back because I'd heard good things, I haven't been too impressed though. The design is good, but the blade on mine sucks, won't hold an edge at all. It really soured me on CRKTs.
  8. Chuck Berry, Duane Eddy, and Duane Allman are all deserving of mention. Robin Trower has always been one of my favorites. They're all way prior to my generation though.
  9. I fish whenever I get the chance, but I have noticed that I seem to catch bigger fish around the full and new moons. My PB smallie and Spot were both caught on "excellent" rated days, so were most of the big Largemouths I've caught. My personal experience says there is a little something to the lunar cycle.
  10. The whole NL is tough to figure, I keep waiting for the Pirates to implode, but I don't think that's gonna happen. Granted, I'm still skeptical of them winning the central. No team looks dominant in the NL, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. LA may be the best, but I really have no idea. I thought the Reds were gonna fall apart when the Cards hammered them, and they fell to 7 games back. About a week or so later they're only 2.5 games back. That's the thing with the Reds, you put teams like the Cubs in front of them, and they'll destroy them, but they can't beat good teams with any consistency. They have some soft schedule coming up, the Reds may start rolling up some wins.
  11. I hate the USPS, don't get me started.
  12. I've been catching them really well swimming a small finesse jig/rage craw through riffles.
  13. A lot of the athletes are spoiled jerks for sure, but the NCAA is even worse. Can you imagine a regular business trying to operate the same way as the NCAA does? They legally wouldn't even be able to get off the ground.
  14. I occasionally will snap on a buzzait. I use the split ring trick, and I've never had a problem.
  15. Guy gets hammered and says something stupid. Big deal. This is a massively overblown story that I'm really sick of.
  16. Prepare to hear the answer, "a black Cavitron" a lot.
  17. Yeah, I had nothing against the Nats until last year, I really enjoy watching them fail now.
