  1. I've got a gen2 SX I like very well, but with as cheap as Super Dutys have been going on eBay lately, that's what I'd go with. The SD is farily heavy too, it's kind of a beefed up TP, with only mag brakes.
  2. I'd go with a Super Duty over a BB1, I've been impressed with my SD.
  3. Yup, people really tend to over estimate how far they can cast.
  4. They can find them no problem. I was tossing a watermelon colored senko in water with about a foot of visibility yesterday and got a lot of bites. I'm not saying that's the best choice, just pointing out that they can find about anything.
  5. I've gone from fanatic, to completely indifferent with what goes on with the NFL nowadays. The game is pathetic compared to what it was just a few years ago. Back to baseball for me.
  6. I'm a Fluoro junkie, I fish a lot of rock, so it's definately the best option. My only real complaint with fluoro is cost. I'm warming up a little to braid, I used to really dislike it, mostly due to wind knots. I do like braid's managability for spinning gear though, and it really lasts well.
  7. Natural colors. Green pumpkin, with a green pumpkin rage craw is my personal favorite.
  8. I don't like to live bait much, but sometimes it's the best way to catch them, sometimes in Winter, it can be virtually the only way.
  9. eBay. I agree on mag only brakes, but I can live with them. This one is a 5.4, I'll try it for deep cranks, I don't know if thats really it's strong suit, but I wasn't gonna pass at that price. I've also seen other Lews reels going cheap lately there.
  10. New Lews Super Duty...$63.
  11. I fish buzzbaits on fluoro all the time, it's fine. They move too fast for the sinking line to be a factor.
  12. Look at a Phenix Recon too, probably either the 766, or 796. They have the action you're looking for, and are very sensitive, great rods for the money.
  13. I have both and like both extremely well, you can't go wrong with either. I'd give the Lews an edge, but it's not a huge edge.
  14. Of all the awesome cars from that era, a Chevelle would be your choice? Not knocking you, just genuinely curious.
  15. Yep...if your wife wouldn't let you buy a Corvette, or Camaro that was the car to have.
  16. I love the way insurance companies portray themselves as such nice companies in all their TV adds. If you've ever dealt with one, you know the truth.
  17. I tried some in the 12# test recently and absolutely will never use that again. That crap had bad spots in the line straight out of the pack, and I don't mean tiny little imperfections either. I did also pick up a 15# spool, and that seems to be a little better, but I'd just spend a little more and get something else. Cheap fluoro always disappoints.
  18. I've never liked forums that break everything down into specific subforums, keeping everything as general as possible is the way to go for me. Keeps things more active, no sense in having specific little subforums that hardly ever get posts. I'd like it more generalized that what we have now to be honest.
  19. That's a crazy powertrain, hybrid? Edit: I still give it about a week before that 727 hp 3.8 litre pops.
  20. Thats a nice one, congrats!
  21. Pros also stomp all over their rods, break them over their knees, throw them down in the boat, and even throw them in the water...just sayin'.
