  1. I'd make some predictions, but I know nothing about baseball outside of the Reds. I think the Brewers could make a little noise, they quietly had a very strong second half last year, and I believe they were first in the NL in offense last year, I don't know if they'll reach the playoffs though.
  2. Cesar is the back up SS, Cozart is definately the man at SS, and Frazier is locked into 3B. I hope the Reds don't have to meet the Phillies BTW, that's definately the nightmare matchup.
  3. I don't think there's one standard, I think different manufacturers will use different lines. Seems like I remember some even getting a little deceptive and saying a crank will dive to say, 20 feet, but they were running it on 6 pound test, which is pretty unrealistic.

    A couple Colt Pythons.
  5. Once it gets warm, within an hour of dusk, almost without exception. Better mid day in the cold months though.
  6. Actually, before they announced the decision, Chapman said he wanted to stay as the closer. I'm not sure how much his opinion matters, but he apparently got his wish. People seem to forget that Chapman had some fatigue issues last year as the closer, I think expecting him to handle starting this year would have been pretty ambitious. For now, he has better value at closer anyway, the Reds have all the starters they need.
  7. I'd like that. The Reds may have improved their chances, they announced the other day that Chapman will stay the closer, that's where he belongs IMO.
  8. They may be able to ride their pitching to another Central title, but unfortunately I don't see them as championship contenders. The DS really exposed them last year, they just don't have the mental toughness it takes to win it all, when the pressure was on they flat out fell apart.
  9. Injuries are just a part of football, I've never seen a sport so completely obsessed with preventing the unpreventable, meanwhile ruining their game in the process.
  10. Is it weird that I still lose sleep over the Reds blowing the NLDS five months later?
  11. Great idea! I've got some extra packs of Yamamoto Senkos (mostly green pumpkin) I'd consider trading for some good hard baits, things like LC Pointers, Vision 110s, maybe some prop baits among others.
  12. I like the versatility of lipless cranks, but ideally you want plenty of both.
  13. Nope. Good fighters, but not on par with a Smallie.
  14. He was especially awesome at conserving energy in blocking, probably the best ever.
  15. Yep, the game is just a shell of what it was even 10 years ago. I used to be a football fanatic, I can barely watch a game now. Just like all of the other safety rules they've implemented, it will do absolutely nothing to decrease the number of injuries.
  16. BUT...this is just a concept car, and will almost certainly never see production.
  17. Somehow they found a way to make the back even uglier, that was no easy task.
  18. Yep, definately try slowing down. I do think it's a tougher lure to fish than many folks let on, it's hard to get a feel for a weightless senko, and it has to be fished super slow.
  19. In addition to the suggestions so far, I'll throw in a buzzbait. It will catch some dinks for sure, but over half of the bass that I've caught that were 5 or over have come on a buzzbait.
  20. Thanks! I've got a pair of Recon 764s, and like them well, I especially like the action. I need a versatille 7' MH rod, something for 1/2 oz spinnerbaits, 3/8 jigs, buzzbaits, and probably some plastics and other stuff too. Sounds like the 714 is definately the ticket.
  21. Not to interupt, but where would you say the sweet spot is on the 714 Kicker? 3/8 oz? 1/2 oz? I've looked at both of these myself, and am fairly set on the 714, but any input from an owner would be good.
  22. I'm wary of the GL2s, no one seems to like the sensitivity of those sticks. Outside of that, I say all good options.
