  1. ....Even the King of the Hill Corvette! One of three at the show!!!
  2. I attended the first car show I'd been to in years today, Somernites Cruise in Somerset KY, this was their Corvette themed month, so I simply had to go to that. The show was awesome, and featured some real heavy hitters, multiple C6 ZR1s, and Z06s, split window 63s, big block C2s, more than I can post about right now. Last I heard, over 250 Vettes, and over 1,000 cars total, and I left pretty early, so I know those numbers grew even more. I'll post more pics tomorrow, but here's a few for now.
  3. I just always set a max bid and forget about it. I've come to like eBay, I've got some really good deals there.
  4. A Team Lews cant be beat for around $150, and I've seen several sold in that price range. I like my TPs, but I'd definately go with the Team Gold when they're going in that range.
  5. I picked up a Team Lews on eBay recently for $140...if you're into ebay it may be worth a look.
  6. I'm with Jay on the color, but that's just subjective. Very cool car though, and totally out of my league.
  7. I like them best in low light, and on cloudy days, but they can still work in mid-day sun. They'll come up from much farther than 5 feet to grab one, so don't just throw them in super shallow water, like Scott posted, they'll work in deep water too with the right conditions.
  8. I'd give an edge to the XF as well, that said, either would be completely fine. XF vs F isn't something I'd lose too much sleep over.
  9. I fish for fun, and for me, that means topwater. So that's become my go to...and a Sammy is probably my favorite, that or a buzzbait.
  10. Sounds like you need to be asking this to these friends of yours.
  11. Not much I can add to the above, don't get discouraged, even when you're doing everything right you can still miss fish on a walking lure. They're tremendous fun, but you'll never consistantly achieve a great landing ratio with them.
  12. Tebow is a great guy, and I kind of like him. But man, I've been completely sick of hearing about this guy for probably about 5 years.
  13. I also have a 6'10 Falcon Cara that I really like, mine is the Finesse Jig model, and it really handles those well.
  14. Actually, I think they already have a 12 second rule for pitchers when no runners are on base, however you never see it enforced. It surprises me how many people complain about games being too long, to me, 3hr is totally reasonable and that's right at the league average.
  15. It's just hard to have any faith in the Reds, if not for a bad call in the 9th yesterday, could very well have been swept by the Cards. They can wail all over bad teams, but put somebody good in front of them and they just go to pieces. Today Votto gets tagged out at third going in standing when he would have been in easliy with a slide, Arroyo forgets the outs and tries to bunt with two outs, it's just like their heads aren't even in the game. And then there's the lack of timely hitting, and that ridiculously overrated bullpen, and defense which both seem to always come apart when you really need them. Had to vent a little.
  16. Powell may make some good rods, but they sure aren't pretty.
  17. I have both and like both, you can't go wrong either way IMO.
  18. They love topwater, buzzbaits, Jitterbugs, poppers, all of them. The walking baits are among the best and most fun for sure, a smallie will miss and come back three or four times, sometimes they'll miss and knock them 2 feet into the air. They really get after them, it can get pretty crazy.
  19. That sucks about the lay off, good luck going forward. Middle Fork River huh? I think I've heard of that.
  20. Sufix Elite is probably the best Mono I've used, I really like it.
  21. Man I hate Fox, I pay extra to get FSO, then they take all the Saturday games from FSO and move them to the big Fox, and I always get the Yankees game. I didn't realize Kentucky was Yankees country...what a joke. I know, happens every year, you think I'd get used to it, but it still drives me crazy. Wouldn't it be easy just to simulcast the Fox broadcast on the respective smaller Fox channels, or am I missing something here?

Getting it on top. A buzzbait sinks like a stone, so soon as it hits the water, it helps to have a long rod to quickly pick up more line and get it back on top.
  23. When you find the deep bends, be sure to fish the faster water coming into the bend and going out of the bend. I see a lot of people making the mistake of only fishing the slow deep water in the middle of the bend, it can hold fish, but usually you'll find them in the shoals leading into and out of a bend.

Sure, you said it's MH EF, that's a good way to go. 6'6" is fine, and can be very handy in tight bank fishing situations, but overall I feel a longer rod helps you work the lure better, and bring it up on plane easier. Buzzbaits aren't picky about line either, I've thrown them on mono, copoly, braid, and fluoro, and they all have their pros and cons, really just comes down to personal preference, and or cover.

I'll take a 3/8 black Cavitron too, I like the slower speed of the 3/8 most of the time. Also I like a rod more in the 7' range, but 6'6" will work.
