How is the sensitivity of the 7'3"? I've heard great things.

+1 Love the Falcon Caras. My LTB is similar in sensitivity, but I like the balance and action of the Caras far more.

Yep, the Reds have had me worried a lot, going all the way back to game 3 of the NLDS. Really the only positive I can see is that they finally got rid of useless Drew Stubbs.

Other than deep cranking, you could probably use a 7.1 for about everything.

Joe Flacco is really the highest paid player in the NFL now? I don't care how bad Baltimore thinks they need him, thats ridiculous. I can't believe they didn't laugh him out of the room when he asked for that kind of money.

Yup...I've got hundreds of split rings just laying around, that's why I just go with those. I've heard of using rubber o-rings as well.

Yep, give me a small wade-able river too.

I use the dual lock snaps some, they're trickier for things like spinnerbaits and buzzbaits because the snap will slide around. But I found if I'm using a size 3 snap, I can slip a size 3 split ring on the lure first, then put on the snap, and it can't slide around.

Yeah, I must have got some bad ones somehow. One will barely spin at all, I don't think it's even fishable, the other two aren't a whole lot better. On the bright side, I contacted SK about them and they told me to mail them in, and they'll send me some replacements and something for my trouble. So at least they take customer service seriously. That said, I'll probably just save the trouble and take the swivels off some of my old worn out spinners instead.

I picked up a few recently and the swivels sucked on all of them, which surprised me because I've always had good luck with SK spinnerbaits.

I may be the only one, but I've just never liked the way a Palomar cinches down with braid, I like to run just a simple uni.

Chapman will be starting this year, your guess is as good as mine on how that will turn out. I'm skeptical, but who knows? Baker managed the Cubs to the playoffs one time, they made the NLCS and were eliminated by the Marlins, I'm sure you remember the infamous Steve Bartman play which occured in game 6 of that NLCS. Baker managed the Giants too, took them to the 02 World Series where they lost to the Angels in game 7. His contract with the Reds ran out after the 2012 season, and they oddly signed him to a two year deal.

They better do something this year though, blowing a 2-0 lead in the NLDS and losing the last three at home was enormously disappointing, and easily the most embarrasing thing I've ever seen from the Reds. Baker is lucky to have a job after that debacle.
