  1. I remember when this tournament was going on they said if you was fishing on the Tennessee side you can only have three hooks river on the A-rig but on the Kentucky side you can have all five. And if you watch some of them have only three rigged up well most have the five, but they never talk about it on the coverage of it.I think I remember them saying once about so and so only having three rigged up in Tennessee waters but don't think they ever said way.
  2. I used a 223 as a kid all the time and now my little cousin is using the same gun. And I remember losing one deer that I shot with it. And my cousin two years ago shot one we didn't find until last year. Which could happen with any other gun with a bad shot. But for the most they never ran more then 50 yards. This year I watch my cousin drop one in his tracks at 200 yards. Plus I was in the marines and at the range we shot M16 at 500 yards. And I was able to hit 8 out of 10 shots. I don't know if I would shot at a deer at 500yards with one but I'm sure it could be done.
  3. Looks like a great year congrats!!! Were was you at on the white river? Cotter?
  4. I'm sitting here reading January issue of bassmaster magazine and came across an article about Montrose lake at the the KCPL plant in west central Missouri. I work for the MNA railroad and a few years ago right after I got hired on i got forced up to Nevada Missouri and we took coal train there. I remenber sitting on a train wondering if it had bass in that lake. I ask some of the guys I work with about it most didn't know any thing about it, one guy said its more of a catfish lake and didn't know of to many bass fishing going on. It was little over a hour away from were I stayed at so I never made the trip to check it out. And now it's a feature power plant lake in bassmaster magazine. I guess you could say I was so close but yet so far away.

  11. Thats a really good ideal. I didn't even think. I do have a few guys at work I gave some crappie to this year. I think one has kill two deer. I think he owes me a back strap or two!! Lol
  12. I prefer to fish over deer hunt. Even " when the weather outside is frightful" but I well take eating deer meat over fish any day. Which all ways puts me in a predicament this time of year. Most times by now I got a least one deer sometime two. But this year I have not even got a shot at one. And am about to get hungry. So far here in Arkansas its been a mild fall. We had a few cool day but last week I think it got up in the 80's. Not reel deerhunting weather if you ask me. But the more I get into bass fishing the more I loose interest in deerhunting. I find my self sitting in my deer stand looking a a lay down. Thinking if that laydown was in water were would my first flip be? Thinking of all the structure fishing I could do if they flood this area I was hunting!! I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and how you deal with it?
  13. When hunt in thick wooded areas I like my 44 but my number one would be 270. Flat shooting its does matter it his 100 yrds or 300+ yrds I know I can get him.
  14. I just won't to know how we drop from 7 to 8 after beating a #9 team and organ jump ahead one we they beat a non-rank team? Anyways WPS!!!! Nice bass!!
  15. I hang it up just until I get some deer meat in the freezer. Then I'm right back out there. Until I get low on the deer meat. Then its back to the woods.
  16. Thinks for the help ill get put together and see how these Arkansas bass like it!!
  17. Sounds like a great day on the water!!!!
  18. I was thinking about trying make me an Alabama rig. I seen a few pictures of the ones people has made. I would like to give it a shoot. To see what's all the hype before I go out and pay $25+ for one. Any tips or pointers ?

Well think its a neat ideal. And I really would like to try it. I think I well try to make my own. I'm not going to pay $25+ for it. Give it a little time strike king and every other lure company will have there on Alabama rig out which could bring the price down. Mybe!!! But I don't know guess just have to wait and see.
  20. Everyone wants to be the first to through it on there on lake at there on club tourny. Anything that could give you a edge!!!
  21. How about the BFL? Really want to try fishing it this next year as a co-angler
  22. And for myself I went to set the hook one day. And guess I didn't have a good hold. Any ways I had to get a new rod. I jump in but couldn't find it.
  23. Seen a guy back his trailer in the water to load his boat and when he got out of the truck, the parking brake didn't work. All you could see was the top of the cab. I'm thinking he had that filling.
  24. Nice one!!! I have been fishing for smallmouth a lot here lately. The biggest I have got was a 3 1/2 lber. I'm still looking for my 5 lber. Congrats again!!!
  25. The way I see it just leave more fish for the rest of us.
