Older Bass Tracker
Sorry about your loss. x2 with you tube. Do a search on boat safety, launching etc. That should get you fairly familiar before you get to the ramp and on the water. Good luck!

What Does This Mean?
Yes. The backs of creeks warm up 1st before the main lake. That's why bass head that direction to spawn.. Even just a couple degrees is all you need for them to be in one creek and not in another to. Finding the warmest water is part of the puzzle to finding fish during the spring big time.

Caged Fish
Hmm, the King Of The Glades just had a tourney out there. A while back on Okeechobee, I was packing up to head home at the south bay ramp. When all of a sudden, I see one boat pull up to another. Next thing I see is one guy pull out a couple fish from his live well and give them to the other boater, who proceeded to put them in his live well. I couldn't believe my eyes. :mad10:

Fishing The C14 Canal System
The one on University is not open 24 hrs. That is the city of Tamarac, in fact that whole park actually closes on certain days during the week. the ramps on rock island just north of southgate and the one further west on southgate by the high school are open 24/7.

Fishing The Big 'o This Weekend! Any Info?
Try Harney Pond and buckhead ridge. Look for submerged grass and throw a swim, chatter or spinner bait. or go Flip a jig/ creature bait in the reeds. Keep your eye out for fish on beds or even areas that have beds.

Swimbait Fishing Florida
Try using them with a weighted hook 1/16th. It helps keep them running true and not sideways..

Bassmaster Elite Boundary Maps Of Lakes?
I not sure about the elites but in the "opens", the info sheet it tells you water boundaries. Normally though it's all public waters connected to that particular lake. Usually Dams or locks on the upper and lower end of the water system are the boundaries but sometimes anglers are allowed to go through the lock and enter another part of the water system. Those guys don't play either, there not afraid to run 30-50 miles in one direction to get to a spot.

Florida Guys Check In Here.
Prop baits rock!!! I can't resist throwing them year round down here. I think they have the ability to "call" fish.1st thing in the morning just at dawn there deadly. This time a year, you can throw it all day and get bites. Those devil horses can take a beating to since there made out of wood. Hey MCS, after the bass spawn the panfish are next. If you see a bunch a beds all together, try throwing that kelly j. around. It's imitates a dying panfish well since it lays sideways and sits a lower at the surface then other prop baits. A couple soft twitches and a long pause in between should get ya some bites. Throw it on mono, since it floats also.

Florida Fishing Next Week - First Time - Need Advice!!
I haven't heard reports lately but look at the Harris chain of lakes. There close to you and have big fish just like Toho. I would hit some spots on foot in your immediate area, there is a ton of smaller lakes that you can access. Go pond hopping, I would be hitting up the shore line looking for spawners..

Sawgrass Recreation Park This Past Weekend
Backlash, are you using a Snell knot to tie your Flipping hook? I would recommend it if not. Might be why you missed those bites. The way a Snell knot is tied, when you set the hook, it makes the hook shank point up. Thus making your hook up ratio go up 10 fold.

Deep Suspending Prespawn Bass
Try throwing a suspending jerk bait 4 ft depth, spots will come up and hit it.. Take long pauses between twitches, 5 10 15 seconds. Sometimes that is key. Try some bright colors like hot pink or chartreuse if the more subtle colors are not working. As others said also, A-rig!!!! Just make sure your throwing it above the fish not below them. Make multiple casts to the same spot to. If you haven't bought one yet, I recommend a smaller one with blades on it. Good luck
