  1. Had a good time meeting everyone during the road trip to Kentucky Lake. Fishing was tough but we managed to hook a few. A special thanks goes out to Roadwarrior for setting this up.
  2. Looking forward to the next 4 days to meet everyone and do a little fishing. Should be arriving at Moors Resort around 4 Weds afternoon.
  3. A buddy and me are arriving Wednesday afternoon at Moors resort. Anyone plan on hooking up for dinner and meeting up?
  4. I have 4 Lews and 2 Garcias, both are smooth and hard to tell a difference. I'm very satisfied with both. My preference is determined by sale prices.
  5. My buddy and I just received permission from CINC Houses (aka wives) and lodging reservations confirmed at Moors Resort for 27 Apr-1May at Kentucky Lake. This is our first BassResource Road Trip, really looking forward to it. We'll bring a boat with us and might be able to squeeze one more with us if needed. Is there going to be an agenda released as the dates get closer?
  6. I love this the MLF format. Competitors are provided live updates on the standings really pushes them. I really liked the "Lessons" episode this season. By far my favorite fishing show.
  7. I like lews reels a lot. However, I recently got a BB-1 for Father's Day and am having problems setting it up. Getting a lot of backlashes compared to my other lower Lews reels. I don't know if it my casting or just having problems setting the brake system. Any advice?
  8. Been there done that. Retired 24yr AF E8. Thank you for continuing the honored tradition of defending our great country. If you ever get to northern Alabama it would be my great honor to take you out for a day on the water. Defensor Fortis
  9. Welcome to the best resource website for bass fishing.
  10. This why this is the BEST bass site ever! The information and contributors are great, both for experienced and inexperience fishermen/women.
  11. Fishing-golf-hunting. It's a balance of fishing and golf. My wife likes to golf a little more than she enjoys fishing. Hunting takes over when the seasons open.
  12. I picked up a SOC backpack that I use in my boat, when I go fishing at local ponds and when I go out on friends' boats. It can easily store 4 Plato tackle boxes, tools, and has plenty of compartments to handle a lot of stuff. You can organize it any way you want and it is very durable. Link below has a pic. I take it with me every time I fish. http://www.uscav.com/productinfo.aspx?productid=16059&tabid=1&utm_expid=16629476-3.YzmYeoOKRfGKtzNx74GoXQ.0&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F
  13. Budget_Bass, you and I must have got a hold of the same combo. That is pretty much how I started baitcasting, been using spincasters my whole life and decided I wanted to learn something else. Thought before I go diving in to deep I'd pickup a low priced Shakespeare, what a waste of money & time. Casts were rough, short distance and it was difficult to get setup correctly. A few months back I purchased an Abu Garcia Revo S. Wow, what a difference. I suggest buying the best you can afford it really makes a difference.
  14. I'm with frantzracing0, bought my veritas (7' MH) a few months and love it. Never had a ducket so can't speak for them, but I will be going out with a Bass guide in late April and that is the only rod he provides. I've heard good things about the the Mojo by St Croix.
  15. Just picked this one up this weekend. This is our first boat, 21 ft 98 Bumble Bee w/225 hp Mercury
