Liberty can be hard to fish without a boat. I am a non-boater, and have fished at liberty few time with no luck or I just suck at finding a good spot to fish. Never fished lock raven or patapsco, so can't help you there. If you want some easy fishing from the bank, since you are a college student so I am assuming you are fishing from shore (I could be wrong). You can try centennial lake, lake elkhorn, and Jackson Pond. Not many people knows about Jackson pond, but it has good quality bass in it. For lake elkhorn, I just started fishing it last year and it is stocked with bass during the fall. But the size of the bass is not that great, the biggest I have ever pulled out is no more than 3lb. Then, centennial lake is over fished and bass fishing can be tough. But you can still catch them, just have to found out how they want it. Hopefully that helps. P.S. I am currently enrolled at UMBC as well for my master. GOOD school, tons of hawt girls...

I like to use double Colorado in both silver and gold. It gives good vibration and flash. For off colors, you just need to change the color of the skirt to darker colors.

I grew up in Howard County, Maryland and the public schools are top ranked. There are many excellent private schools in my area, but the tuition will cost a hand and leg. My parents sent me to a private school for my high school years, and I hate it. Because there are so much home works involved, I am not saying it is a bad thing but I just hate it. My friends would be playing football, etc after school. And I have to stay home studying; d**n school gives quiz every other day. Plus, I have to wear school uniforms. Then, one bad grade, here comes my parents telling me how much they are paying for me to go...blah blah blah... Even you have the money to send you kids to private school, please don't do it. Let them enjoy been a kid, let them have some fun. But for pre-school, I don't think the work load will be much.

I have caught somebody's make up kit using a jig. Somebody was doing more than fishing on the lake.

I spool about 1/8" from top when fully loaded, it will provide the optimum leverage for casting and for initial drag.

I remember when I was young, my dad bought me a bookbag with plano boxes in it. I would carry it around wherever I go, and can pack a lunch with it as well.

There are some excellent videos on YouTube that shows you how to use a bait caster, and how to get deal with bird nest. Practice makes prefect, get some cheap line and spend half a day practicing.

Why isn't hunting and fishing the same thing as far as being a sportsman. The DNR makes the rules and I follow them. If they say it's ok to keep some fish, then I will do it. I release most but not all. I still say, if you're concerened for the fish, then don't catch them. First of all, when you shoot anything it becomes dead most of the time now, that can be a moral issue. I am not saying it is, just it can be. Catching a fish will probably stress the hell out of it, but she will still live. Hunting = dead animals. Fishing = good chance to stay alive. So I don't think they are the same.
