jighead and grub. im old school.

i have several baitcast rigs but the artritus in my hands makes them very uncomfortable to use. i bank fish for bass. i keep it as simple as i can. bass fishing doesnt have to be complicated. i do this to relax and have fun. 95% of the time i use 2 spinning rods. rod #1 - 7' med/heavy fenwick hmg with a penn battle 3 3000. spooled with 30# power pro and 12# big game mono for leaders. i fish texas rigged worms/lizards, jigs and spinnerbaits on this rod. rod #2 - 7' medium fenwick hmg with a penn battle 3 2500. 20# power pro and 8# big game leaders. on this rod i fish wacky rigged senkos, ned rig, shaky head and jighead/grubs. all of my tackle, water bottle and other essentials go in a backpack. its light, mobile and i can cover alot of shoreline.

im in iowa. last year my 1st bass was caught on march 4th. im guessing about the same this year. just after ice out.

im hitting a few small rivers for walleye this weekend. there wont be many (if any) people where im going.

i have a 3/4 oz. red/white dardevle spoon hanging on my rearview mirror that i used at lake of the woods for pike when my wife and i vacationed up there.

they have been around a long time. ive never ordered from them though.

im in iowa. my rod shipped from georgia on friday. it showed up today. usually takes a week from cali.

ive got a pflueger trion and president that are 15 years old. i still use them both. never had a problem with either of them. i just got a new trion a few months ago. we'll see if that reel will last that long.

we should all email BPS and let them know how we feel. since BPS charged me $20 to ship $55 worth of lures, ive started spending alot more $$$ in the local bait shops.

here is what i did with my Eagle fishmark 480 to make it portable. i started with a Genz blue box. dropped a 7 amp battery in it. and mounted the 480. the transducer is mounted on the trolling motor.

2006 Lowe 1436 jon with a 1960 5.5 hp Evinrude and a Minn Kota 46# trolling motor.

14' jon boat. minn kota 46# trolling motor with myself, my dad and all my gear can hit a blinding 3.1 mph according to my gps. 8-)

a 2x4 mounted on the bow works great.

95 Chevy 1500 with a little 305. it pulls my 14' jon boat just fine.
