  1. I would like to think you'd have the smarts to know everything you read/hear isn't true. Find me a reel that hasn't gotten negative feedback. But please, keep telling us how the guy who has the reel, uses it, and likes it, is, clearly wrong, and your hearsay is what we should all follow blindly.
  2. equal parts watermelon w/purple fleck, black w/blue fleck, and purple, with just a couple strands of chartreuse. never seen anything close to this, if anyone knows of something, let me know.
  3. Vinny, what trailer are you using of that 3/8 new gill swim jig?
  4. Does anyone have any experience with these new rods? I'm looking particularly at the 6'10 MH XF, but any input would be greatly appreciated! According to quantums brochure, these rods are about as light as the exo series. I'm just wondering if they seem well balanced and if they truly are that light. Thank you for any input i can get, i appreciate it!
  5. Gammy 1/8 oz weighted screw lock hooks, and a whole bunch of rage craws. Rage rig them, crawl them anywhere the water is less than 10ft deep, and have fun.
  6. Thanks for all the help guys, headed down to BPS and decided on the Green Mirror blackfins, seem to be exactly what i'm looking for!
  7. Maybe they'll just completely do away with their customer service department that refuses to do anything about their junk lures, and drop the price $1 per bait.
  8. I've done plenty of searching on this forum and others on this topic, and the favorite by far seems to be the green mirror, but i have a few questions for those who have tried both or have valuable input on the topic. I fish a ton of really clear water here in wisconsin, definitely more clear water than stained, of the two which would be better for seeing "into" clear water? Is the green better for sight fishing regardless of water clarity? My other concern is that the green will not be dark enough in very bright conditions. I currently have Oakley shallow blue straight jackets and they just don't cut it when its a bluebird day. I know you can't have your cake and eat it too, but i'd love to hear any input or suggestions on the topic. Thanks guys!
  9. I'd go with a duckett 7'6" XH, absolutely love this rod for punching/flipping.
  10. Every reel that said "Shimano" on the side of it. Seriously.
  11. Very good multi purpose rod, the 7'3 and the 7' MH are, its just the preference of length that should determine which you go with.
  12. go with the 46lb, its the perfect size
  13. IMO, mccoy has way more stretch than cxx. Last year i tried mccoy mean green to find a line similar to cxx with less memory and i literally hated it. Went back to CXX and never looked back. I suggest you do the same
  14. I personally still have yet to find a reel that can pick up line fast enough when you get a hit pitching a deep weed edge and the fish pops it and shoots straight out to deep water.
  15. Miss the title there bud??
  16. Veritas, or you could save a few bones and get the new vendetta. The new vendetta is a very nice rod.
  17. To me, this is the PERFECT "rage rig" rod. I have 2 of these and use 1 exclusively for rage rigs, and the other for 3/8 oz spinnerbaits.
  18. Please stop with the misinformation, seriously. In case everyone isn't aware, this is 100% false.
  19. Paca Chunk is about the only thing i'll use on a jig
  20. Thats a steal, BUY IT!!
  21. The new series of LTB'S does NOT have the same tip heavy problem the previous years did. I fished the 7'3" MH LTB (2012 model) all year and it is not tip heavy at all. My old LTB's, yes VERY tip heavy. I say you save the money and get the 7'1" MF LTB. I won't say trust me, but i own numerous extremes and LTB's, and the new LTB is a very nice rod.
  22. Get your new combo from TW on black friday.
  23. Another vote for minn kota, and yes, the weedless wedge prop is remarkable.
