  1. The kicking feet really don't have any action at slow speeds, even when swimming a jig sometimes its hard to get them to kick. But on a chatterbait, they do kick, and the action of the chatterbait goes through the limbs of the scrub giving it a very erratic action that seems to drive the fish mad!
  2. Don't care for this bait at all as a jig trailer, however this is probably the most productive chatterbait trailer i've ever used and i never see people using them.
  3. Hello all! Long time troller, just recently became a member. I've been doing walleye tournaments here in wisconsin for the last 12 years, and decided to give it a break the last few and have taken up bass fishing as my main hobby. I can safely say that that was one of the better decisions i've made in a long while! I've had a blast learning more hands on techniques and using more heavy duty tackle while fishing pads, slop, and deep weeds. Although our season here in wisconsin is mostly over, i've tallied 386 bass this year, with 16 smallies over 5 lbs, and 4 over 6, with the biggest being 6.8lbs (fish in my avatar). I think the walleye background really helps me "pattern" bass better than most anglers, although my techniques still need some fine tuning. Hopefully i can give back at least 5% of what this board has given me! I look forward to contributing when i can and hopefully making some new friends!!
  4. For those of you that have used these, how do you like them? From what i've read they are very versatile baits that can be waked with your rod tip up, but down they will run around 2-3 feet? How do they deflect off of cover? Thanks for any input!
  5. Just picked up a pack of blue bug rage craws today, and these things look sick! Cant wait to get out next spring and try them!
  6. Strike king diamond shad and the original rattling rapala still put a ton of fish in the boat for me!
  7. suffix performance for me!!
  8. I noticed the same thing. Boy i sure hope they don't stop making cx...
  9. To answer the original question the price difference between the avid and ltb is totally worth it, and i would much rather have the ltb than the avid. Not that there is anything at all wrong with the avid, but for the price you can get the ltb's right now you need to jump on them. As far as the rage rods, i know they are the same blank as the avid, but for whatever reason i do not like the feel of these rods at all, maybe its just me?
  10. I liked it, but for my personal taste it was too stretchy. I'd rather go with pline cx on spinning rods or cxx on baitcaster
  11. 50lb is the lowest that i would go, and no need for a leader.
  12. I'd go with the lews, but of all those, you can't really go wrong.
  13. I personally don't own the teaser, but i own 2 mh/xf and 2 mh/f LTB's and they are amazing rods. As the others have said the m/f is an amazingly versatile rod that can do almost anything, scoop it up!
