Bait Casters Vs. Spinning Reels
Personnal preference. I love the feel of the baitcaster, and how it handles. As far as accuracy, thats a variable that dwells in the user. For me, I am more accurate with a baitcaster. If I feel that I have put too much on the cast, I slow the roll with my thumb. Flipping and pitching, I will stop the bait over where I want to drop ot with my thumb. Spinning reels can be just as accurate when user knows how. For instance, my wifes grandpa can no longer use a baitcaster due to his shoulders. He has become deadly accurate with a spinning rig. He can drop a bait within 6" from 30yds. So dont ever let anyone say one is more accurate than the other. However, if you over cast with a spinning rig, its kind of hard to slow it down. Just use whats comfortable.

Flouro Line Advantages
Im just glad its not me this time in a Shimano debate, lol. I think every type, brand, and color line has a place for certain people, just the same as the reels.

Casting Reel Size
It will handle it, but there wont be much line on the spool. Maybe 50 yards, and if you cast 30-40 yards, that doesnt leave much line on the spool. For me, an average of 80 yards of line is good. So I will use backing if I know Im gonna exceed that with a 200, otherwise the line that I use will be the thickness to be right around that length tying straight.

Need Help Abu Garcia Black Max!!!
Your not gonna like this, but put it in the trash and buy a new one. These reels are pretty much "disposable".

Casting Reel Size
For instance, with Shimano 50 vs 200, the 50 holds enough 12lb to get any job done for bass fishing, but if you want a heavier line, say 15-20lb, you need the bigger reel. Balance will also play a role. I prefer my Curado and Chronarch 50s for fishing as they feel better in my hands. Curado 50 has 12lb YoZuri, and Chronarch 50 has 50lb Power Pro. My Curado 200E7 is better for Flipping jigs with 65lb Spiderwire, as the faster speed, and stouter feel for wrangling the fish. Chronarch 200E7 with 20lb YoZuri for clearer areas for swimming heavier soft plastics, while not having to worry if a fish takes me to cover with the strength of the YoZuri. Citica E with 40lb Sufix for spinners, and Citica G with 17lb mono for topwater. They all serve their place, whether a place you may give them, or somebody else does. Its all about using the right reel for the right job. All my Shimanos do a specific task for me.

Help! In Need Of A New Baitcaster
Curado has a metal brake star, and a bearing in the crankshaft, and no knob bearings. Otherwise, not too big of a difference. If it comes down to price, you wont be disappointed with either one. I own both, but I just love the Curados. My suggestion if going the E route, would be the Curado 50E. Smaller, easier to palm and fish, and holds enough line for anything.

Help! In Need Of A New Baitcaster
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? OK, some have been spoiled with the E series, but come on! The G series is still a great reel, and will still beat anything in the close perspective that Pure Fishing can try to throw at them as "competition". Lets just face it, there is nothing Pure Fishing can produce that beats the durability of a Shimano product. There I let the beast out.

Flouro Line Advantages
If you want to fish fluoro, go with a hybrid like YoZuri, true fluoro isnt that great. The only advantage is when you need a really clear line for finicky bass.
-
Spinnerbait, Reel Gear Ratio
Agreed with all above for a 6 ratio. I use my Citica E for spinners. Can burn or slow down with that ratio.

Watch Out!
Ive been told.

Watch Out!
Just grab them behind the head, then cut the head off.

Spinnerbait Reel Ratio And Line
I like a 6 ratio and some braided line around 40#.

Line Is Breaking Need Some Imput.
palomar is only good for braid IMO. Try a better knot. Or go buy some YoZuri.

Got The Chronarch 50E
is it micro or regular guides?
-
Got The Chronarch 50E
The 50 is just smaller, and better for lighter baits. The 200 series is bigger and come in different speeds ie the 7-6-5 after is the ratios.

Help! In Need Of A New Baitcaster
Man, rockchalk got here first. Oh well, I recommend if going brand new at a store, the Curado G. If not worried about brand new, take roadworriors advice. Either way, if your wanting longevity, you better get a Shimano product.

Got The Chronarch 50E

Rooster Tail Doesn't Spin Properly
Yep, works. Or you may need to bend the blade or spindle a bit.

Line Is Breaking Need Some Imput.
Not normal. Use a dry q tip and see if there are any nicks in the guides by swipping the guides. Also, check that its not the knot by somehow marking the line just before the knot. Also, ckeck the line for abrasions regularly by running it between your fingers and feeling for abrasion.
