  1. They are some pretty interesting reels, but never fished them, but would like to try one someday.
  2. If your gonna go truck budget, and especially if your gonna spend $ on the Clarus, at least mount a Citica on it!
  3. Dont have kids yet, but you can bet your behind they will be fishing a Shimano! Ooooooooooooh
  4. Easy,1) Shimano Curado 50E on a MH rod and 12# YoZuri for finese/cranks/topwater plugs/open water plastics. 2) Shimano Chronarch 50E on a MH rod and 50# Power Pro for plastics in heavy cover/spinner baits/jigs 3) Shimano Chronarch 200E on MH rod and 20# YoZuri for heavy cover plastics for finiky fish/jigs mod cover I based this on all the Shimano's that I own, and if had to keep 3 to fish only, this would be the 3. Now bring on the bashing!
  5. I dont spend a fortune on plastics due to they dont produce any better for me. I use Zoom lizards in 6 and 9", mostly watermelon colors like water/red, water/chart. Zoom ultravibe speed worms are AMAZING! I like those in darker colors, black/red, black/blue. As far as worms go, best producer for me to this day is Culprit, I have just about every color, depending on the water/weather conditions is what I will use. To be honest, I dont fish worms that much. When it comes to jig trailers, Gambler Ugly Otter in blue/black, and Mega Daddy in blue/black, and green, browns. Frogs I like to use BPS Humpin Toads in black, they make the best noise and action. Gambler EZ swimmers are the best producers, in BriteCopper.
  6. That seriously made me crack up laughing! I love it.
  7. I wouldnt go any lower than the Revo S. I know its out of your range, but they are the best inexpensive one they have worth buying IMO.
  8. We just mess around after a while until the mods lock the thread. Wait, I think I hear one coming down the hall now, lol.
  9. Then your just going to have to step up to a 200 series Chronarch or Curado to use 15-20#. You will have ni line capacity with a 50/51.
  10. It doesnt matter what you use for toothy creatures, they will cut the line unless its wire leader. You either have to be set up for Bass, or set up for Pike.
  11. Use the 50 with 12# YoZuri. Going to be stronger than tge fluoro, and wont have to sacrifice performance.
  12. If you just hang them by where the handle is, I would see no problem.
  13. If I could get that past my wife, I would have, lol.
  14. Thanks for the instr., I already know how to service, but have just been using a different drag grease. My BPS doesnt carry the Shimano, and dont really shop TW that much.
  15. We got good 50mph winds here in Ft Lauderdale Fl. There were white caps and 1-2ft waves in the intracoastal.
  16. Ordered 1oz from TW. $5.99. Plus the $19.99 fitted Shimano hat, lol. Couldnt help myself!
  17. NM, just realized its the Shimano Grease.
  18. Star drag grease you say? Does it come smaller than 1 gal? Lol
  19. I got lucky around July I needed some for when I was taking a trip to Maine. DSG had some Daiwa 2 pc rods on sale for $10, so I grabbed a M and MH. They came in handy this month when I went to SC and fished with Bass Ninja on Lake Murray.
  20. It left a few blisters. Looked like the 3 palm marks from the Demon Child, lol.
  21. They work, but not impressed. Didnt like the Gen 2 either. Dont get me wrong, they are good reels. But they dont compare to a Chronarch. Im just not crazy about Pure Fishings brake design.
  22. Its the construction of the brakes. Take a look, youll see.
