  1. Bass fishing is a sickness, and I mean that in a good way. I have a few reels that Ive had since I was 11, Im 30 now. Over the years Ive collected a variety of combos. Its just fun!
  2. Its a great net for when im walking the banks and fishing because it folds and fits in my Spiderwire backpack tackle bag. When im out on a boat I have one of those floating nets that is stronger. It is a good net for travel, its pretty strong, it pulled that 7# snakehead out of the water no problem.
  3. Pro Qualifier is it, unless you are willing to shell out another $50 0n top of that $100. That Pro Qual is an amazing reel though, I love mine.
  4. Fire Fighter Olympics Tournament out of Clewiston the 17-18 of this month. Does anybody have any advice on what the bass are doing out there now? Is West Wall and Coot Bay still productive? Are they in the flats? Are they in the channels? What presentations seem to get their attention now? All advice greatly appreciated.
  5. If you have to stick to those as an option, I would shoot for the Shimano. In my experience, those other brands dont make very good budget reels. Like tstone said, if you could spare few more $, I would go to BPS and get the ProQualifier, that thing will last you a lifetime, and I believe its on sale right now.
  6. I think its because the same reason people go to AA, they are quitters, lol
  7. The original, the start of it all, Spiderwire
  8. Its a lot cheaper than the braided lines, and holds up soo well. I now only have braid on 3 of my rigs, my E200 Curado for my topwater frog, my G200 Citica for lighter plastics in heavy cover, and my ProQualifier for heavier plastics. These I only use for fishing real heavy cover, but I cant wait to give the YoZuri a shot in the Glades, and see how well it holds up there.
  9. 3/0 widegap, good all around
  10. I will be thinking of you guys while im at the firehouse. Good luck!
  11. I wonder how long this thread will go on for..........look! fish!
  12. I use 6lb Stern Fluorocast. So far so good. No problems. Sorry Outdoorsman, but anything over 6lb is not UL anymore, its just L, lol.
  13. iFishingLite, I have it for my EVO.
  14. Barbara always seemed to be a fat girls name.
  15. eat the snakehead, they are delicious!
