As to say prefer a canoe I don't think I could say that but I equally enjoy both my bass boat and canoe. Both used for different applications, I can catch just as many fish out I my canoe as anyone can out of a full blown bass rig. I love fishing streams for smallies on my canoe..

I just sold my boat, I had a 86 hydra sport with a 150 evinrude. I hav the chance to get a 88 bumble bee with a 150 black max. The boat is in good shape for its age, but I really don't know much about them, I do know they are pretty fast boats, which in return I wonder if its a rough riding boat and not as good to fish out of as others. Any info on these boats would help. Thanks YoungGun29

I agree 100%, I can honestly say bass fishing has kept me from getting introuble. I myself am only 22 years old, many of nights I was invited to parties and I was either on the water, or getting some rest to head out early that morning. On the lake is the best place to clear your thoughts and have a good peaceful time, all your worries seem to just go away for the time your on the water!

I finally got it, my first bass boat. It's an 1983 18 ft hydra sport x 270 with a 150 evenrude, has hot foot two fish finders, and came with a ranger trailer lol. never been there anyone have any qood hotels to stay in or any advice for the stay? be there 4 days and 3 niqhts.

ranqer, hands down. its a better built, more stable and holds its value.. i would rather have a qood stable fishin boat than a fast boat anyday..

any wood will need replaced im sure, i bouqht a boat one tme thathad set for years, had to replace the floor, as far as motor if it ran whenparked chancesare it still will run just check wirinq, cause sometimes rats or anythinq else will chew wires into, and check the impeller in the water pump, they can deterierate.
