I cut the dividers out until they fit. DO NOT use any drawers that reel oils have laid on. It seems some plastics are attacked & glue themselves to the plastic of the drawer. Done that terribly to 1 tackle box.

What is a ....I am 77 ...So I am out of touch for a GOOD ? excellent VERY smooth tip material 4# will not tolerate rough finishes. I cast long floaters with deep weedy bottoms. The 4 # cuts the weeds nicely.

There may come a time when a anchor will be needed due to a squall wanting to blow you out to bigger waves . I now carry 3 anchors in each boat. Live / survive ? for another day. A light one for little wind. Other 2 are for 3 to 5' waves if I were to be blown into a 300' deep channel in a squall. That one squall did 4 footers in 15 minutes.

I have a favorite rod with a tip guide that has 2 grooves that will shred the 4#. New tip on the way. The + 40# tests never groove a tip.

I was using Spider & Cajun 4 pound. It cuts fast & deep in a finger compared to mono 4pound.

I would some how make up a rubbing tube or curved plate to remove ANY line rubbing on the hull. Also go to a metal or machinist shop for a piece of solid shafting. Have him round the end & drill & tap a hole for a Stainlees Steel Eyebolt. Short squatty shafting would be best with so little length to the surface.. My prop shop guy did one for my 16' Aluminum Lowe boat $ 25 done. Make sure the S S eyebolt is VERY smooth where the line rides.

Valley is right. The rod tosses the lure. Not the reel or line. All the rest of the stuff shortens the casting distance. 50 years ago I stripped a 9 weight flyrod & used large guides & the Mitchell small saltwater reel with light lines. Braid & mono. mono won. Loved the distances casting a Mepps spinner with the rubber minnow.

Use braid. Only bad thing about braid is some wear grooves in anything they slide on. No vertical space ? me to I use a Bimini top all summer. Side twitches practiced with the lure 25' away. Piece of cake.

Rod & reel over hauls.......Rod Check the guides with a magnifying glass. LOOK for grooves. Some braided can cut grooves in 2 months By me. RETIRED. Also check that none are twisting around. Reel ..........DO NOT PULL IT APART,...........You will probably screw it up on reassembly. I wipe dirt off the spinning shaft with little Baby oil put on the shaft and then run it in & out about 3 times............. Bail pickup spring seems different / free play now. Buy a new one. Bail line roller. Remove. Oil soaked small Cloth. Clean surfaces with a oil wetted cloth. 1/2 drop of oil on the screw shaft. Done for me

The smallie will do perfectly in the cold water flows . More Oxygen & sinks down as it enters. The bait will like it also. Only the slower, warm water loving largemouths may avoid it. That smallie is going to get HUGE.

Winter requires the LAYERS of clothing because of changing wind & shade conditions. At least my large water areas do as the wind shifts direction & speed.

Green people do not know a thing about wildlife. We should not kill the green people. YET But we should kill the otter. Catch a 8 to 12 " fish Put a nice bunch of hooks & a wire leader on the fish as swimming bait. Hopefully the otter easts & is caught. couple of 22 slugs in the head. or shotgun to the head. Worked for us.

Zebra Mussels , Gobies , cormorants. Now otters ? Get in touch with a fur trapping group to get rid of minks & otters. Worst of all ? a unemployed guy / gal. Trying to get some food. Bless the person.

I have NEVER caught any fish where there are NONE. That said. I can catch them on anything. If they are in my casting or trolling distance. I have a virgin untouched waterfall & pond. I can get 15 to 20 strikes in a 50 foot cast with some of my lures with no hooks on them. It is the abilities of the person not his gear.

My ultra light is a 7' soft rod with 4# line & 2# leader for about 3' long. Long accurate casts. Soft rod soaks up line breaking big fish. A light weight fly rod can do a good job as a ultra light rod. Check that it will hold your reel before buying.

Short rods = short casts Long rods = I use 4# braided line. Helps also. Test prove that almost every line breaks at 2 to 3 times the rated strength. SOOO Use 4# really about 9 to 12 pound breaking The braid will take spinners twisting the line better than a mono plastic.. Braid does not form permanante coils like mono.

No cotton or wool against my skin anywhere. Winter or summer. Sweat does not leave the skin. I use synthetic Long Johns & socks cheap stuff. Then I use 2 wind breakers with attached hoods. Dungree for legs WITH a yellow breathable set of legs over the dungaree. FULL tarpon fishing hat with face covers. waterproof gloves with the bumpy rubber pads on the tips.....Like football players catching passes use......GOOD sunglasses. I take them to a eye doctor. His machine can test how good they block all the bad rays out Done............I stop fishing when ice forms on the line or guides or the line on the reel. I am crazy. Not stupid. Forgot . I tie a rope between me & the boat. Short enough keep anypart of me from being chopped up by the prop. Full 100 mph lifejacket. It is BULKY & keeps me warm. The safety lanyard is tied to me also.

I ask a person straight out. Why did you walk all the way over to me & start fishing so close ? If you do not give me a decent amount of space to enjoy fishing I will cast right over your line & cut it off of mine. Most people then say something of a lie. I then say I do not like you. That usually frees up my space. Almost had a ride in the ambulance with a persistent buddy.

Are we talking about greedy business people ? Gain control & customer lists. Cut back. Use the same parts on all boats Then raise the prices steadily. Works everytime.

Boat batteries can be beaten into failure. The wave bangs do not help keep the cells from shorting out.
