Weed Less Treble Hooks
are you fishing from shore or boat? i used to lose lots of treble lures from shore. if you use 15lb fluoro or 10lb+ braid you can usually bend out hooks and get ur lure back. i rarely lose lures from my canoe/kayak. paddle over and use a lure knocker. saves a fortune. here's my homemade one:

Skipping Baits Under Docks
x2 all about the thumb brake. make sure you keep ur thumb on the spool the ENTIRE cast. engage the reel and then focus 100% on feathering or 'thumb braking' the whole time. go outside in ur yard at night and practice casting and thumb breaking into the yard in the pitch black. if ur lure hits the yard w/o ur thumb on the spool you will obviously backlash. it will force you to brake till the end. short casts will force you to keep ur thumb on the spool even in the middle of the cast. the darkness really puts you in touch with ur spool like a blind man. not only helps for skipping but all around BC cast control. also alot of vid's say to focus on the target ie 12" space between the water and dock. i found this to be initially bad advice. focus on the first 'splash down' spot ur jig is going to hit. focus on the dock space after you get better. ie think about skipping a rock across a pond as a kid. you'd focus on ur first skip location and let it rip. you wouldn't focus 50ft ahead and ignore the initial 10 ft splash down spot. after you're better you'll instinctively line the whole cast up, back to front, front to back, several times like a pool shot. you'll evaluate ur cue ball, sink ball and pocket inside out...but always focus lastly on the cue ball when executing.

Question About Line
if you must skip w/ the BC, make sure you keep ur thumb on the spool the ENTIRE cast. engage the reel and focus 100% on feathering or 'thumb braking' the whole time. go outside in ur yard at night and practice casting and thumb breaking into the yard in the pitch black. if ur lure hits the yard w/o ur thumb on the spool you will obviously backlash. it will force you to brake till the end. short casts will force you to keep ur thumb on the spool even in the middle of the cast. the darkness really puts you in touch with ur spool like a blind man. not only helps for skipping but all around BC cast control.

Follow Up Cast On Missed Fish?
the senko works great a lot of times b/c the bass thinks they wounded the bait fish. they are happy campers when it comes floating down the water column. sometimes you can score by tossing the same 'missed' reaction bait back in the same spot but burning it out twice as fast as the speed u were using...like a bait fish saying "I gotta get the $@$& out of here!"

Wacky Rigged/texas Rigged Worm Problems
sounds like bad technique. feel bite...then reel in all slack while dropping rod parallel to water....sweep/snap 90 degrees up. if is a thin wire hook, less muscle is needed. if thick gauge hook=more elbow grease. also 12lb what? mono has alot of stretch and requires better technique. braid and/or fluoro have better hook set response

Hey, Raider
ha i like this guy's comment while saving 2/3 the money: "All this says to me is that no matter what's already loaded on a new laptop, just format the drive and load clean. Easy enough!" I respect this guys opinion too: "What a dumb report. Comparing bloat-ware loaded laptops against a clean install of Windows on a Mac. Even if they were trying to measure the experience of an average user who doesn't know how to deal with bloatware, then that same user certainly won't even know how to install Windows on a Mac. What a joke."

Home Made Flipping Hooks?
- Trig Question
i think we've all been there: I didn't catch any/many fish that day b/c I was too busy "learning a new lure the fish didn't want".- Slow Down!!!
time on the water helps a lot IE successful slow fishing accidents/experiences. when i first started fishing i overworked a jig for 3 months with no success. put it down for 2 months. tied it back on one day for fun...cast 20 times while over hopping it...then i cast but answered my cell phone to talk to my girl for 3 mins. hung up and as soon as i moved my slack line the fish inhaled it. first jig fish and a great lesson. i was way overworking jigs. i've been addicted to jigs ever since. i initially didn't like senkos either b/c it was too painful to work them slowly. but i kept bumping into guys that would pull out their cell phone's with monster bass pix caught on senkos. my next outing i had 20 unsuccessful/overworked casts...then cast but the worm sank to the bottom while i bent down to tie up my hiking boot...decided to tie the other boot also...as soon as i tapped my line=fish on. now i know how to dead stick and/or slow drag senkos. fast forward to last week. i was fishing a new baitcaster while casting into 10-15mph winds= several backlashes on the water. (i removed the excess grease from new reels but don't bother soaking the bearings. they still have too much oil for my liking b/c of backlashing). the bite was tuff b/c its spawn. it took me 30 seconds to pick out my backlash. as soon as i twitched the line...fish on. i instantly noted and tried to duplicate the 30 second pause. to tell the truth i had a VERY hard time b/c i was keeping a semi-slack line which the fish were sensing VS backlashes are on a 100% slack line. i almost couldn't bring myself to do it b/c it goes against everything i practice as an angler ie "feel the bite". only after i backlashed a 2nd time and instantly got another fish was i able to give the lure 100% slack. that was the pattern for the day. and i duplicated it w/ a jig, bare crawl and t-rig. the fish just wanted a free fall to 30 sec deadstick while on 100% slack line. always assume there is a monster 'nosing' ur lure when it first hits the bottom. after that its just a matter of figuring out how to entice them.- Trig Question
why didn't you join him? you didn't have poppers/cranks? pride? you were bored catching them on poppers/cranks and really wanted to get them to bite a MMA fighter?- Joining The Kayak Crowd.
