  1. Triton XS series. I have run a lot of different brands but My new 19 XS has them beat. This is my opinion and I'm sure some will disagree.
  2. To me it's personal preference. I have a lot of each and really don't notice a lot of difference between a 6'6" and 7'. If I'm casting I usually go longer and if I'm pitching I usually go shorter.
  3. I also try to support my small local bait and tackle shop.
  4. Rage craws, my #1 go to bait.
  5. Hooligan, you need to go to ardentreels.com because because not all the NCAA reels are Evercast. Hence why he asked about the Ardent reel and not about the Evercast reel. YES the Ardent NCAA reels are the C400 and most definately are made in the USA.
  6. I have numerous St. Croix rods and haven't had any problems with them. I hope they take care of you.
  7. I have 2 of the KU reels. I bought them off their website for $69 each. They are NOT made in China, they are the C400 made in the USA. I have used mine a lot this year and caught lots of fish on them. My opinion is that they will cast light lures a long way but are not the smoothest reel on the market. They feel well built and I have no doubt they will last a long time. They are not as low profile as some other reels so if you palm a reel it will feel different until you get used to it. All in all I like mine considering what I paid for them. They have a 3 year warranty which is better than most companies. If you have any particular questions let me know.
  8. About half the Ardents I have bought do this. I found the bolt on the under side of the line guide to be too loose and would slip when there was a little tension on it. I was able to tighten the screw and all has been good since. Something to look at.
  9. You hear about more Mercury motors blowing up because there are more Mercurys on the water. I have owned both and never had any issues with either but I am anal about maintenance. In my group of fishing buddies 2 motors were blown up this year, 1 Yamaha and 1 Mercury so it's a draw. Or does it mean they should have bought an Evinrude?
  10. Joefish is dead on. Replace the impeller and then see what happens.
  11. I keep my lure selection and colors simple but I have hundreds of each. If I am trying a new bait I will buy one or two and go from there.
  12. I like the Sedona personally. Cabelas has the Sahara for $59 if there is one close to you.
  13. Congrats. I hope you have many great days in her.
  14. Never heard of it, could you explain it more or give a link? I fish Truman quite a bit and would be interested.
  15. I texas rig them on a 5/0 EWG hook.
  16. Unless you are sight fishing color means nothing.
  17. I have been using them a lot this year with good success. Yes I would take them back if you feel something is wrong with them.
  18. I wouldn't be too worried because you still get a full warranty but you should get a deep discount because you are basically buying a used boat.
  19. I'm hoping for G-man or Ott Defoe
  20. Bummer man, sorry to hear it. It just sucks when people won't leave your stuff alone.
