This was the first week I didnt set my roster. During last week, I planned out what I was going to do then I usually set it on sunday but i went to the nascar race sunday and only had enough time to set one roster. I had thought that i had already set this one but i hadnt. I'll be back this week though.

Even though I would like to change my predictions, I think I will stick with 'em since i have been right so far. Indians beating the Dbacks in the WS.

No NASCAR Today?
I personally the thought race was terrible. Of course only until the last 5 laps, they were great. I dont know how many of you watched the whole race, but it was pretty boring. For about an hour they just drove around single file in the high groove. I really dont like the COT and think they need to fix the restrictor plate package for it. Coming into the race they were hyping it as the best race of the decade. The last five laps were good but the other 3 hours werent fun to watch. Like 4 or 5 years ago they had an amazing restrictor plate package that led to lead changes like every lap. Those DEI engines are pathetic. Jr's had 6 blown engines this year and Truex blew his Sunday too. Im glad Jr is getting out of their and into one of those hendrick cars. Im ready for Atlanta!!! Not to steal the thread or anything, but my friend was thinkin about takin his RV to the race and parking in the infield. Does anyone know how much that will cost for the weekend?

I actually agree with you on that. The Dbacks is the only staff that has any depth at all. Webb is dirty but after that isnt that much. Doug Davis has been good since the allstar break so i expect him to do good in the playoffs. Outside of Webb, they do not have a started with an ERA under 4. Of the 3 pitchers other than webb who will start in the playoffs, Davis is the only one with a record over .500 but he is still only 13-12. Also, Davis hasnt made it past the 5th inning since his first start in September, 5 starts ago. I think that will be enough to make it to the world series but when they have to face a one two punch like Sabathia and Carmona who are both aces, i dont think it will be enough. Also, Beckett, Dice k, and Schilling, sound pretty good. If the Cards, Mets, and Braves were healthy in the playoffs, I think they all would have better pitching staffs than what is in there for the NL right now. The Cubs arent to bad pitching wise but i just dont like the team overall against the Dbacks. I think Zambrano, Lilly, and Hill are a better top 3 than what the Dbacks have. Then again, the Cards pitching looked shot last year entering the playoffs. In the playoffs, some players step up to the plate and pitch much better than they ever have ex. Anthony Reyes, Jeff Weaver, Jeff Suppan.

I think the second TBS station is HD. They added HD just in time for the playoffs. I'm guessing the other channel is still there, but isn't HD. Last season (2006), my family bought me HD for father's day, solely so I could watch baseball that way. What a difference! The problem is that it's now hard to watch it on regular television. : Sweet, I heard somethin about it on the radio to. The TV in my basement is HD so I guess I will watch it down there. Ok, time for my predictions. Last year I was completely right in my predictions for the NL and was completely wrong in my predictions for the AL. Here it is NLDS: Cubs vs. DBacks W 4 NLDS: W Rockies vs. Phils 5 ALDS: W Red Sox vs. Angels 4 ALDS: W Indians vs. Yankees 5 ALCS: W Indians vs. Red Sox 7 NLCS: Mets Rockies vs. DBacks W 6 World Series: W 6 Indians vs. DBacks WS MVP: Fausto Carmona The NL looks very bad this year. There isnt any depth at starting pitching there. Bad news Cards fans, Jocketty is gone. He is one of the best GM's in MLB. He proved it last year with the world series team he assembled last year from nothing. He will be missed. This makes Tony's decision even more difficult.

Ok, I found it. I knew it was on TBS but I have satellite. When I saw it was in the 12th inning, I started going channel to channel trying to find it. Finally channel 247 which is like the second TBS for some crazy reason had it on. Apparently TBS is changing to that channel now instead of 17. IDK, but i couldnt think of a worse time to find that out. So i at least got to watch the 13th inning which was the best part. Go Rockies!!

I cant cheer for the cubbies. I hate Zambrano enough to hate the whole team so GO Rockies. Also I won my fantasy league by 3 pts thanks to Atkins.

Well, im pretty sure they control their own fate still, that's all that really matters in the final weekend of the season. Cardinals end the season playing some decent ball with everyone injured. I was really pullin for the mets today with perez pitching cause he is on my fantasy team and it is coming down to the wire in the championship. $60 on the line and and my 21-2 record at stake. The other side of it is that i was hoping cole hamels pitched well cause he is on my team too. 8 innings 0ER 13k, pretty good, looks like he is healthy again. Dont wanna face that twice in a five game series.

Budweiser Beechwood BBQ Sauce
The Rendezvous is fantastic. My favorite is Corky's BBQ. I have family in memphis so i get to go eat BBQ up there about once a year. My relatives own Leonard's Barbecue. They have pretty good BBQ but an amazing buffet. It's got everything from spaghetti, pulled pork, catfish, key lime pie, excellent rolls and a bunch more stuff. I have to stop talking about it though, cause im starvin. Down here in GA there isnt much good bbq near me.

College Basketball
I'm sorry. On the rivals.com rankings I couldnt find Kentucky in the top 25. I did find my Memphis Tigers conveniently in 2nd though. http://collegebasketball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=685054

Open Water II the movie
Man, I hope so. I wanted to shoot myself during the first one. That had to absolutely be the WORST movie I have ever seen. It literally is the worst movie ever. For like an hour they are just treading water. The movie couldnt of cost more than the price of the camera to make. So i most likely wont watch the second one.

Yup we're done, so i will enjoy the last month of being champions. We really didnt deserve it without making any moves in the offseason and it finally caught up to us. Anyways, IDK if you guys have seen this yet but my new favorite fashion designer, Marc Eck, bought bonds' 756 ball. He has a website where the public can vote on the fate of the ball. http://www.vote756.com/marcecko// You have 3 choices. 1. Send it to the HOF 2. Brand an * in it 3. Send it into space on a rocket, then send it into orbit I voted for #2. I think after they put the * on it, they are going to give it to the hall. It is the closest thing to what i would have done with the ball which was: write *'s all over the ball, then a few choice words for Barry on the ball which would later ironically need to have more ****'s put over them.

Dear NFL...
Ditto .... most of game two was boring, but the last 5 minutes or so was good I third that. I also wanna add that i like watching two of the young up and coming teams in the NFL not to mention two division rival playoff contenders in the Bengals and Ravens. That was a good game.

This gave me some chuckles.

I think Ankiel has a short, maybe week or less, period of saving himself before he falls from grace. If he were to apologize in this period and admit he did it before this gets way out of hand, he would be forgiven and greatly respected. I would like him even more than i did last night after his 2HR game if he were to apologize soon. Based on that article, it didnt sound like he "allegedly received the HGH", it sounded more as a fact. MLB has already asked to talk to him about the situation. I hope he can apologize, put it behind him, and not let the dark cloud hang over the team while they are in a heated playoff battle.

Here's a SI.com link about Ankiel. Doesnt sound good but technically he wasnt breaking any rules since he stopped when MLB banned it. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/09/07/ankiel.ap/index.html

There is no accurate test for HGH. The only test is a blood test and is said to be not accurate. This is most likely the new steroids since MLB cant test for it. NE ways, the cards are doing awesome, and i havent been posting much on this thread because everytime i do they lose. Only one game back, they could be tied for the lead tomorrow. Unfortunately they have to face Cy Young winner Brandon Webb tonight. Lucky for the cards, Webb is 0-2 since his scoreless inning streak was snapped. Ankiel is exactly what they Cards need and could carry them to the playoffs.

"Dale" on CMT
That was an awesome movie. I think it was def. the best racing show/movie i have ever seen. It was a lot better than ESPN's movie. He was always my favorite driver growing up and i was there when he died in 2001 and also at the atlanta race when harvick won and that was awesome. I was glad how they didnt end with his death like ESPN and continued races afterwards adn interviewed drivers and owners. If you missed it, it comes back on tomorrow at 8.
