The Mets definitely need a better rotation. Pedro isnt comin' back till july or august and no one else is that great. I think it could be a break out year for Oliver Perez though. They have Glavine (old but good), El Duque (old but ok), Maine (decent), oliver perez, and chan ho park (hasnt been good since the dodgers). Lucky for the mets though they pretty much have the best lineup in baseball. They look a lot like that other team from New York that has a strong lineup and weak rotation. The Cardinals are in a similar situation but there rotation is just unproven. Only 2 out of the 5 starters have been a starter for over a year. I still think their rotation is decent and will be a lot like last year coming into the season. hopefully Mulder can come back to self in july.

The weeks leading up to the race NASCAR was so happy with the cot that they said it might be in every race next year. That was premature since they hadnt even raced in an actual race with one. I think it is a bad idea. If it aint broke...

All my friends are on the baseball team at my school and they are all jrs. They were all thinking about what cool song they would play when they walked to the plate but the seniors decided to pick instead without letting them know. Just to name a couple one kid got hanson's mmbop and my favorite is my best fried got the im too sexy... song. He said the first time he walked to the plate he felt like an idiot.

How much did you buy your new (to you) motor for? I have an 80somethin 50hp johnson that i am considering selling. Congrats on the new working motor.

I always bring 3 packs of peanut butter and honey crackers and 1 gallon of water. I sometimes bring coke and that used to be all i would drink but once i get home i would get some nasty dehydration headaches. Sometimes I bring sandwiches if im out all day. If I go around 11 then i might have one of my friends stop and get a pizza. After we eat, I can use the crust to catch carp. I caught a 30lber with crust with a little pizza sauce on it. I love the hot dog idea. Do you leave the hotdogs in the boiling water all day or just put them in right before you want them?

Basschaser, my friend did that and got his five issues, then they keep sending him a new one and say this is the last one and pay us (but you dont have to). So those 5 issues have been 7 for him and they keep coming. This just goes to show that they dont need you to pay that subscription and they get all their money from advertising. I am going to send in the insert to get a free trial and see if they keep sending me new ones because it is a great magazine. I really like this months.

As the title says, for me, this is going to be the greatest week ever. Heres why, Saturday my dad and I are driving down to florida and staying at my aunt's house. On the way down, we get to stop at the new bass pro shops where i can spend my birthday giftcards. On sunday, my dad and i are going to the Daytona 500. Sweet!!! Then Monday i get up and my uncle and I are going to lake toho with a guide. I have wanted to do some Florida fishing ever since i started fishing. Then the next day, I get to fish the lake across from his apartment. And finally, when i arrive back in GA, it is supposed to be in the 60's and i will get to take my boat out for the first time since october!!! When I get back on wednesday, I will post pics of all the fish i hopefully catch on toho. I couldnt dream of a more perfect weekend!!!

I like Rusty a lot though. Im not a fan of Brad Nessler doing Nascar at all. I saw him yesterday for the first time on it and thought what is he doing here? I think it should be the guy from basscenter that used to do RPM tonight. I also dont like that main guy on Nascar Now, he is annoying. Speed did a great job all day today. Go JR!

All the Bass Pro-brand stuff is good. I really like the XPS hard baits.

Im going to hope for Ike and predict Ike. I wish this was on Toho again. Last year was great with all those gigantic limits. I like how BASS scheduled a lot of their tournaments around the spawn last year.

Brilliant!!!!! I would be more likely to buy a book of articles written by our members in areas they accell in with a bunch of fishing tips and stuff.

The NL East is going to be good this year. The Mets are of course #1 but not far behind is the Braves. There lineup is good and starting rotation is very good. They have definitely fixed their bullpen problems and now have one of the best bullpens in the national league. The Marlins I think are third and could be like the '97 and '03 teams in a couple years. They have dismantled their 2003 world series team and rebuilt with a bunch of great prospects. They have the best starting rotation that no one has ever heard of outside of Dontrelle Willis. There starting roation is 1. Dontrelle Willis (age 25) 2.Scott Olsen (23) 3.Josh Johnson (23) 4. Anibal Sanchez (22) 5. Ricky Nolasco (24). The Marlins offense is below average with Cabrera, Ramirez, and Uggla leading the way. The only problem is that the rest of the offense is minor leaguers. They could definitely be a surprise team. I think they would be a lot better off if they hadnt gotten rid of Joe Girardi. I think they will win a world series within the next 5 years and could contend this year. It isnt gonna be easy for you muddy. I think the NL Central wont be very good again this year. The Cubs will be their typical selves and lose with a good team adn a bunch of injuries. The cubs lack good healthy pitching. Have fun with Marquis Cubs fans!!!

Cards will be alright but.... the opening day starting rotation goes like this 1. Carpenter 2. Kip Wells 3. Anthony Reyes 4. ? 5. ?. That doesnt look to good. The guys competing or those two spots are Ryan Franklin, Adam Wainwright, Braden Looper, and Brad Thompson. Mulder wont be back 'till mid-season and no one knows if he will be back to form. I am really dissappointed that they didnt resign Weaver. I think he signed with the Mariners. I think he needs Dave Duncan in order to be good. The lineup though is solid from top to bottom and the bullpen is well off especially if Izzy could come back to 2004 form. Just countin' down the days 'till April 1st, Cards vs. Mets to start the season in STL. WOOOOOOHOOOOO! 47 days and counting....

I was wondering where you were. There was a topic in bass boats titled "lower unit lubricant." I clicked on it and was amazed that there was no post by muddy about what kind of lubricant he likes to use on his lower unit.

I've got a bass-style boat with a center console and a 50hp johnson motor. I can only fish electric only lakes around me so I am deciding to sell of the big motor and make my boat electric only. I dont know how much I could get for the motor but it will make my boat a lot lighter for now. Im gonna take that money from the motor (plus more) and buy either 1 101# or 2 60s. Right now I only have a 40# tm on the front which is slow but gets me where i want.

Glenn, I dont know why but I love the Gieko Caveman. Thats funny right there.

I might have to order a couple of these bad boys before spring to. Since they are so expensive (for me), I will probably only use them on the big guys.

That's really cool and looks great. When are you going to catch one of those Varner monsters with that bad boy?
