  1. Airborne works great for colds and stuff. My mom uses it all the time since she is a flight attendent. Once she starts to feel sick, she drinks it and somehow doesnt get any worse. She will be completely healthy in a day or two. I dont know how it works for fevers and stuff though. Get well soon LBH and KU!! Actually, get well now!!!
  2. Welcome to the forum, I have watched a couple of the shows on the internet and really like it. You definitely need to come back down here to ATL and go with Randall to Varner. It seems like every other day he is posting pics on the site of 10 and 12lbers like it is easy. My home lake is lake Kedron which is the one you and Randall went to. You must have gotten one of the worst days fishing and weather wise at that lake, but it was still cool to see my home lake on TV.
  3. Pujols would implode in New York. He just doesn't take criticism well, and he also doesn't always hustle down the baseline on routine grounders and fly balls. You guys already ruined A-rod, please don't ruin our superstar, too. Pujols doesnt speak much but when he does, I usually wish he hadnt said anything. I think he doesnt hustle down the line because of his foot and oblique. He has been kinda hurt through most of the year and it is doctor's and Tony's orders to not sprint down the line. Like Val said you might not have won the MVP (which he has already won) but you did win the World Series. I guarantee Ryan Howard would trade him his MVP for a World Series. DMB, I agree with you on the imploding part in NY. For being the best player in baseball and possibly one of the greatest of all time, he doesnt get much media coverage. It's probably because he is such a good person that there are no bad stories for them to report that they love. I dont think he could handle all the stuff that AROD goes through. He still has like 4 or 5 years left on his contract Risk so your going to have to suffer with AROD for now. Albert earns $14 million a year, what a deal!
  4. my mistake I didnt give the link. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2680495
  5. Here is a short article about Albert Pujols. It talks about how he thinks he got snubbed and should of won the MVP since the cards made the playoffs and the phils didnt. He also says they made a good effort at getting Alfonso Soriano. He says that they also tried hard to get him during the season with a trade. He thought we would get him. I couldnt even imagine having speed/power in the lineup. Also a good defender that could solve our LF/2nd base problem either way.
  6. Oh good, he took my advice on Wells. I told him he could be very good with Dave Duncan. Back when he was with the Pirates, we saw a lot of him. I liked what I saw and he didnt get much offensive support so his record isnt very good. Last year, he spent the year in Arlington, as you guys know that is a hitter's park. Now let's see if he can fill one of those final holes with another ace like Weaver.
  7. Walt Jocketty just called me and said that they signed Adam Kennedy.
  8. Yeah the Yahoo one sounds like the one I want. That will be fun once march comes around. I'm already ready for march, fantasy baseball and the spawn. wooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Definitely needs to be free. I have become obsessed with fantasy football lately and i have only played the salary cap one for baseball. I would like to try and find one with a draft and head to head. Which kind do you like best Val and what website is it on.
  10. If i were weaver and Mulder, I would sign cheap one year deals to show everyone what they can do for a year and then get their money outside of STL. Ted Lilly could be great. I dont know about Gill Meche though. Also, Wainwright could be a starter. Originally, he was going to be a starter in 07 with Reyes but it depends on how things play out. Get rid of izzy! Wainwright could be a long term closer. You could trade Izzy to get a decent RP. Val, you are right about the cubs and stros but Carlos lee could easily break 40hr this year with that short porch in left. Kerry Wood is going to be a releiver this year they have already determined. Carlos Zambrano, Prior, and Clement, if healthy could lead this team to the playoffs. I do not expect a year like last year if those 3 are healthy. Hey guys, fantasy baseball anyone??

    You forgot Kansas state.
  12. Yup, all true. I became attached when i saw him in a minor league game in memphis and has been my favorite player ever since. I dont know about a lousy teammate but he obviously is very greedy. He left his hometown in atlanta where he had a career year to go to LA for $2million more per year. Then he had a weird contract where after two years he could void the rest of his 5yr contract and become a free agent. Led by Scott Boras, he opted out because of the high demand for sluggers. His contract with LA was 5yr $55 million. I've heard that the teams that were interested were amazed at how much the sox were willing to pay for him. He has had only 2 completely healthy years in his career and his career high for games is 146. Off the field he is supposed to be a good, southern, christian man but I dont know how he is in the clubhouse. In Tony LaRussa's book, he said that JD was one of the most naturally talented players he has ever seen but off the field he doesnt work hard. Not much time in the weight room and practicing. I think that is the difference between him becoming one of the elite Albert Pujols/Ryan Howard type players in the league. I mean he will be great for the Sox if he can stay healthy. He has great power, hits for avg, is good defensively, and has surprising speed but it's 50/50 on staying healthy. He could be another overpaid player for the sox. I heard the sox only want to pay matsuzaki (or however you spell it) $8million a year but Boras wants more like $15 million a year. Apparently the sox spent to much money just trying to talk to him. I mean c'mon only 8 million a year for a guy that you paid $51 million to talk to.
  13. It sounds like my favorite player is going to go to my least favorite team. That's right, JD Drew is supposed to be very close to a deal with the sox. Apparently 11 million a year wasnt paying the bills, so he dumps his contract with the dodgers and becomes a free agent. Usually I would care about the Cards getting snubbed on all the awards but this year for some reason I dont really care. WORLD CHAMPS!!!!
  14. http://amazon.com/ It's on their main site so it is for real.
  15. The difference between the core system and premium system is that the premium system has HD cables, 20gb hard drive, wireless controller, and the xbox live headphones. Usually it is $20 more. If you could get a 360 core for $100 I would definitely buy it. They arent really in extreme high demand but you could get easily 200 for it.
  16. Scott Boras pretty much has a monopoly on all the good players so he can play all the gm's based on how much he brings in for each player. I cant stand the guy. Or that rosenfeld or whatever his name is.
  17. Astros might not be contenders if Clemens retires (or goes somewhere else like NY or Boston) or if Petite retires. I know he is really young but he was talking about retiring and was really really serious about it. I imagine he comes back because the Benjamins are callin' but he might go to another team. That leaves Oswalt and Brandon Backe? I like Oswalt but he cant do everything. I heard they are close to a deal with Carlos lee and will probably get him. So we may not be talkin about cards, cubs, and astros and maybe instead cards, cubs, and brewers. I think if the Mets want to go to the World Series next year, they have to pick up Barry Zito. I think they will. No one has mentioned that they picked up one of my least favorite players of all time. Moises Alou. Mr. No Hustle Ow My Leg. Just watch him in his ready position in the OF it looks like he has no plans on making a play on any ball. His legs are spread wide and his knees are locked. Have fun with him. If he is healthy and not too old then he will be a good fit on New York's other Yankees. Looks like the Mets are tryin' to buy a championship like the Yankees.
  18. Wow, and look who wins the AL MVP... Justin Morneau. Who? Thats what everyone is probably saying right now but he is a great player. However, I dont think he is as good as Jeter. I am not a Jeter lover like muddy but i still think he should have won the mvp this year. They really messed up on the mvp's this year. Whoa, I almost spilled water on my world series shirt.
  19. Hahahahahahahahaha ;D GO REDBIRDS!!!!!
  20. I like my rattletraps the way i like my rims... Chrome.
  21. Jarret Wright isnt a real pitcher. I think it was a good trade because he isnt a good fit in NY and they need relief pitching and some good prospects that they could just turn around and trade. I wouldnt worry. They just freed up some money so they will be gettin' someone better than right like Zito or the Japanese dude. Wright is no good BUT>>> he was good with the Braves in his one year that he pitched for them. And the pitching coach who turned it around for him>>><<<<Leo Mazzone. Yes, Baltimore's pitching coach so he may turn it around again. Did you guys see the first game of opening night next season? April 1 to start the season..... CARDS VS METS... NOW let the trash talkin' begin.
  22. Yeah, I have. It's good on days when you want to catch a lot more and want to take the skill out of it. When I do it, I use a chrome rattletrap or a bomber fat free shad that runs 4-6ft. I use the one that is chart. with a blue top and orange mouth (to look like a bluegill). I like the bomber best though.
  23. My favorite "song that bumps" is D4L- Spaceships on Bankhead. It's a pretty addicting song. Your first thought when you hear it is "How high were they when they made this song?"
  24. He's definitely not coming to St. Louis. He's following the money. Not NY money but Boston money. I think he will end up in Boston and Zito will end up in New York. Sorry risk, but the mets. The Yankees yesterday did pick up 3 good young pitchers from detroit for Gary Sheffield. I was hoping Shef would come to STL. From the looks of it, it looks like Sup is going to get extremely overpaid along with Weaver. IDK what the deal is with Mulder. I heard he wont be able to come back until maybe May. That makes me think he will end up in STL for one more year. STL also signed Edmonds for the next two years. Edmonds says he wants to retire in STL. He needs to step it up though next year.
  25. Yeah the game gets boring quick. Not enough bass fishing and too much salmon and stuff. The lure choices are all rapalla so no plastics, boo.
