  3. Im ready for some college hoops, baseball, nascar, and fishing. It needs to get warmer. Nascar kind of starts this weekend with the Bud Shootout at Daytona on Saturday night. WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!
  4. Shoot, chatterbaits $3 a piece.
  5. I bet many are asking what the heck a VHF TV knob is,lol (i guessed on the matches, figured there are 20 cigs in a pack so....) You bet right. I missed 2, the TV one and the campbell's soup one.
  6. I went to my local one in Ga and all the FLW stuff was on sale. It was pretty much just FLW stuff and some mann's crankbaits. I bought 4 FLW jigs for $1 each and 3 boxes of trailers for $1 each and Bassin for regular price $3.
  7. Never mind, i got it. You have to click download then you save it.
  8. how do you save the picture so that it isnt only a fraction of what i try to save?
  9. I second that!!!!!! I assume it's some type of filter??? I agree. Let us know the secret! I need this on my lake too!!! I'll 4th that.
  10. I'll second that. The only problem is that on some of them the ring will get stuck in the eye hole but most of them dont and i like them best. I have tried the rad version, swim blade and boogie bait.
  11. The number of people that make a living on fishing is low but so is the number of people that pursue it compared to other sports. I mean most kids wants to be a professional baseball or football player when they grow up but how many spend their whole life saying that all they want to be is a professional angler, not many. Here, it might seem like there are a lot of people that want to become with professional anglers but that is just because this is a fishing forum. At school, I dont know a single kid that wants to be a professional angler when he grows up but i know a ton that would like to be a professional athlete or movie star or singer. I think the percentage of people that make a living fishing compared to those that try would be about the same as athletes from other sports. As for the atheletes wages, i think it just depends on the demand. The MLS will soon see that there is no demand for Beckam in the US so they will be overpaying greatly. As for the future of fishing, i think it will always remain a cult following. I think this following could grow greatly but it will never be a baseball, football, or basketball. Thats fine. More fish for me. I think the sport is kind of like poker. It has a cult following and some watch it on tv and play it while others dont watch it on tv but love to play it. Like poker, i think fishing could have a boom in popularity but it all depends on how it is marketed. As harsh as it was, i agree with what dink said.
  12. Exactly what i was thinkin.
  13. Great article, I have been wanting to go out fishing for months so I can start using trickworms more.
  14. Congrats, I have 240ish left. I have been here for over a year now and learned a ton. I will probably go over 1000 once baseball starts up and we get that thread goin again. I think i have 400 posts in that thread ;D My baseball knowledge outweighs my fishing knowledge which is why I am here. Do you now get to use the cool smileys? ;D
  15. Also, Cards former GM Bing Devine passed away last week. He made the Lou Brock trade. RIP Art and Bing
  16. Time to find another show. It was a great idea though. I am glad they sent a response though so we wont waste our time trying.
  17. Great announcer and will be missed. Also, Bobby Hamilton died a couple weeks ago. RIP Benny and Bobby
  18. I think he explains it a little more in his book. He says that they are more predictable because of when they feed and I think it was also their location. Actually, I think it might have been on one of his videos on his website where he goes into more detail on the subject. If you watch those two minute videos, I think one of them explains this. But i definitely remember seeing Doug Hannon somewhere saying that big bass are more predictable then smaller ones. (good question to ask him)
  19. That is amazing. One fish in a giant lake and Mike Long finds it even with all the increased fishing pressure. That just supports what Matt has been saying all along about Mike Long. He is the greatest angler of all time. I wonder if that fish is still alive and ready to be caught in a couple of months, hmmm...
  20. Yeah, the taxidermist was cutting open the bass's stomach when he found a 2 1/2lb weight in it. Defresco said the bass ate it when they were using the weight to hold down the stringer. And the Trew bass was just held out to the camera and had 2 witnesses. The lady's son and one of their friends. They said the bass weighed 22lbs 8oz which would barely make it a new world record. compare Trew's bass to Dickerson's There is no comparison. That bass isnt nearly a world record.
  21. Boat: 15ft mitchcraft Tow: 2000 Ford Ranger 4cyl. (116,000mi.)
  22. I support it and would like to drive up there and fish it sometime. Robert
  23. "they arent going to tell everyone about the few lakes that still have trophy potential so more people show up" Exactly. In Ga, a lot of those guys keep those lakes quiet. In those lakes with 16, 17, and 18lb fish, it is definitely possible for a fish to gain 4 more pounds to be a WR.If I caught an 18lb fish, I would tell everyone that I caught an 18lb fish but I wouldnt tell what lake because I would know that they would tell other people about it and it would get way too much fishing pressure. The only way I might try to get a fish certified was if it was over 18lbs (well i dont have to worry about that). They dont really have to worry about giving away their secret lakes in Cali because it is public knowledge which lakes hold record bass with stocked trout. Because of that, I understand that a lot of these lakes have crazy fishing pressure. That would be exactly what I wouldnt want to happen with my lake. Example: Lake Nunya
  24. I have also heard of bass up to 18lbs caught in GA that aren't registered.(not the same as Randall's)Hopefully, I will get invited by my neighbor to go to the lake that holds this bass in spring. I couldnt help but notice one of these bass was caught in Japan. I didnt think they got that big and it was less than 4 years ago. Does anyone know the story on this one? 18 19.40 Ikehara Dam Japan Kazuya Shimada 4/22/03
