If you guys dont like this trend, do something about it. I'm 17 and have been addicted to fishing since i was 15. Teenagers can the love of fishing and the outdoors more than any videogame. All it takes is for them to get started. I would prefer to go fishing any day over just playing video games. I bought my own boat when i was 15. Since then, I have taken just about all my friends out on it. Every single one of them had a good time. And now all of my friends fish. Instead of playing video games or hanging out at the mall, we go bank fishing at the neighborhood pond. If you guys want generations to come to enjoy fishing, just take them. Every time you take them, they will like it more and more. They could eventually become addicted like all of us and the sport will continue on and on. I know not everyone likes fishing even after they try it but most people do. I know a bunch of people on this sight do take kids fishing and that is what is great about this site but it doesnt have to be just kids. Teenagers get that same smile on their face when they catch a fish. I think if a teenager develops a love of fishing than they are more likely to pursue it than a young child. If my generation doesnt start fishing than in 20 years me, bucketmouth, senko77, troutfisher, and filemob are gonna be the only ones on the lake catch 10lbers every cast.

Turns out the Cards were only 6 games out last week but it doesnt matter cause they are now only 5.5gb. Talk about a spark Ankiel hits a homer in a cards win and LaRussa says it is the happiest the team has been during his time as manager other than win they won the world series.

Alright guys, since i hosted the BR fantasy league last year on ESPN, i created a league on ESPN again. This is a private league so the first 11 people to PM me with their email adresses will be sent a league invite. The draft is going to be at 7 PM on Sunday and we are going to have a pretty standard league.

I believe it was Queen who once said "We are the champions my friends." That is OK with me, I will trade one bad year for the championship. The cards have been killed with injuries this year. Mulder out all season and more importantly Carp out for the season, the pitching was depleted. All the other pitchers have been hit or miss. The Cards were within 5 games last week and with Carpenter healthy that is probably a 10 to 15 game swing because Anthony Reyes wouldnt have been pitching who loses almost every start (in part because of run support). The Cards could be in first with a healthy Carpenter alone. They still have some hope but 6 games out is dfficult to make up but it has been done. Also the cards are only 4 games out in the loss column. The Cards need a spark. Speaking of, Rick Ankiel is supposed to be starting for the first time in his career as a major league outfielder.

Great fish! Congrats on the tourny. Your not the only one seeing it Fourbiz, I thought it might be a prop cut as well when i first saw it, but i would think a prop would do a lot more damage to bass than that. :-?

Your right there muddy. C'mon, bases loaded 2 outs bottom of the 9th, you can send up the best hitter in baseball the last 5 years to pinch hit but dont because there would be no one left if some one gets hurt. If it didnt count, Pujols would have been there for what could have been literally one of the biggest moments in the pathetic history of the MLB allstar game. Tony said today he would have done it differently looking back now. I mean if someone did get hurt, big deal, there were pitchers still left to play that could have played outfield. That would have been something to see.

I would have also like to see the game go 9 especially with Reyes throwing a 2 hitter and glavine throwing a 1 hitter. I would also like to see everyone get healthy including Carpenter, Mulder, Eckstein, Johnson, Molina, Looper, Rolen, Edmonds, Wilson, you know basically the whole team. No wonder we are doing so bad. If they can be within striking distance in August, everyone will get healthy and they will be able to make a run for the playoffs. The Maroth trade was good especially after how he pitched in his first start. I wish they were in contention that way they could do a trade for Buehrle. I really hope he signs with us in the off season. He got in trouble last year for saying he wants to play for the Cards in his career. I think he will even take a home-town discount. After not having enough starting pitchers this year, i think they will have too many next year. Right now though, they are really starting to fall out of the race.

My Ford Ranger bumper tows my boat fine. I think my boat is little lighter than yours though and the lake is only 20 min. from my house. I think it would be a good backup for a bigger boat but thats it.

It definitely annoys me. It will just take getting used to again. I do like the sound of the sprint cup. It sounds more race-like. I heard rumors that this was going to happen back in like 2005 soon after they changed the name. I hope this one is here to stay.

The way Earnhardt fans throw beer bottles and stuff at Gordon isnt good for the sport, but having that rivalry is good for the sport.

Why Earnhardt fans hate Gordon... 1. Whiner- Catt explained this pretty well. (this list isnt in order but this would be #1). It seems recently that he doesnt do this much anymore but that is because he has been winning. It is never his fault and if everyone hadn't raced crazy then he would have won (according to him). 2. Not one of them- When he came into the sport he was a Cali boy that wasnt from the south. Didnt sound like them and wasnt your stereotypical good-ol-boy. 3. Dale Sr. didnt like him- he had a rivalry on the track . If your drive doesnt like another driver then the fan dislikes the driver. The Dale Sr. fans all moved on to being Dale Jr. fans so the rivalry went along with it. 4. He won to much- I have been a fan for a long time and when i first got in to racing it seemed like Gordon won every race and the championship every year through the mid to late 90's back when he dominated with Ray Evernham. I call this the Yankee effect. Because of reasons 1-3 the fans disliked Gordon, and so you dont like to see him win. So when he wins it makes you mad and it just piles up because he does it every week. People dont like the New York Yankees, and when they are winning it makes it worse. They have a shirt that explains it. You can probably picture a fat drunk dixie-loving Earnhardt fan wearing it.

...Yes. I saw that interview on sportscenter and there will always be the Earnhardt Gordon rivalry. I dont like Jimmy Johnson but I just cant stand Gordon. As an Earnhardt fan, I think i can learn to like or put up with Jimmy Johnson but not Gordon and i think that is going to be the same for most jr. fans. I bet jr wins at least 4 races next year and will finish in the top 5 in the points. I think he will also win a championship in the next 5 years. The COT races have been dominated by Hendrick and they will only be racing COTs next year so Hendrick could dominate even more next year than this year. I guess I will have to go get a number 5 to stick on my truck and take the number 8 off.
