Rick Ankiel is seriously messed up bad and that is certain. I think he holds the record for most wild pitches in a playoff game or an inning with 6 against muddy's mets. It's a shame cause that season he was an amazing rookie pitcher with so much talent then lost it in the post season and never recovered. He had arm problems but then 2 years ago he made it back to the majors as a rp. He was looking great in spring training then got frustrated with his control and gave up. I remember there were players talking about how great his curve was looking. What a shame. On mulder i think he will be ok this year but then will get traded in his final year of his contract. He has the potential to be great but we'll see. This year's rotation could be amazing with Carp, Mulder, Wells, Reyes, and whoever wins the 5 spot in spring training. Also, it could be terrible if Mulder is the same as last year, wells doesnt improve, and reyes looks like the rookie he was towards the middle of the season last year. Carp is still solid on top though.

Now that we have all had our nice little holiday breaks... IT'S time for some more baseball talk. Barry Zito to the Giants, Randy Johnson to the D-Backs, we have a lot to talk about. The good news is the Cards found two more starters. The Cards signed Ryan Franklin (bla) no big deal. Kind of like signing Sidney Ponson last year. The bigger news is that the Cards signed Mark Mulder to a two year deal today. It is worth something like $13 million (5.5 first year 6.5 second) with an option for a third year. All I can say is that he better be healthy. In his two years with the cards he was good but not great and then his second year he had an era over 7. If he doesnt have a great year this year then the trade with the A's will look bad because Danny Harren is doing great over their in Oakland. The biggest deal for the Cards is that they signed Rick Ankiel. YES!! Former pitcher converted outfielder with apparent mental problems. I hope we arent paying him with actual money.

Tournament anglers a good at fishing tournaments and World record hunters are good at what they do. No one is better than the other. Ish " I definitely agree with what he says. That was kind of my opinion on it. Matt you are definitely right Ish is a class act. He is the only angler i know that has a forum and responds to all the questions. On top of that, he reponded to it in only 20 minutes!

I was curious what a professional angler would say to this question so I went on Ish's forum and asked the question "Ish, I was wondering what your thoughts were on Mike Long and other anglers that only go after GIANT bass. How do you think anglers like Mike Long compare to regular tournament anglers like yourself? Do you think these hawg hunters are better than tournament anglers?" He will probably respond in a day or two.

With my completely unbiased opinion, I think the Seahawks will win. The Bears wont make it to the Superbowl until they get a decent QB. After the last game of the season, Grossman said that he didnt really prepare for the last game because he was only going to play a half. GENIUS!! Im sure the teammates that prepared for the game and tried their hardest thank him for that. I think everyone on that team is losing confidence in their QB. Seahawks 20 Bears 10. (and the bears TD will probably be from special teams)

He seems very knowledgeable and he will be great help in the forum but the way he went about doing it seemed a little pushy. He has already added a bunch of good info in other posts but there is a good way and bad way to do it.

Yeah, the best forum by far. I was glad that post was removed. I have found that a lot of the articles are very informative and have helped me a lot over the past year. Keep it up with the articles. What has helped me the most though is that any question I have had has been answered in the forum. THX

I've got OSU over UF 42-28. I went to see Florida play Auburn at Auburn and that was Florida's only loss. It was a great game and the teams were pretty evenly matched. Im glad that it is OSU vs. UF rather than OSU vs. Michigan. This way we get to see how good the SEC is compared to the Big 10. It could be that the SEC or Big 10 is just on another level than one of the other teams. With them playing each other, we get to see who really is the best. ***and boo Calvin johnson is going in the draft (cant blame him, being projected to be the #1)

Im hopin for an 8 but predicting a 7 to top my pb of 6. Hopefully I can get out there soon.

I forgot it was on until 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Glad i turned it on because that was one of the most exciting football games i have ever watched. That hook and ladder was sick along with the WR pass and statue of liberty play. Great game!!

Yeah, I did good most of the season but lost my last 3 and was out first round in the playoffs.

In GA it is a year from when you bought it. I turned 16 in Feb. and i think i bought my license at the beginning of March. I will probably buy this year's license the day after my birthday so i can remember when I bought it. In GA, a year, resident fishing license is only $9.

I like Ish from what i have seen. He is my second favorite pro angler. He is definitely one of the top anglers on the tour now. On his website, he has a forum and will answer all questions. I asked him what was the giant tube he was using at Amistad and he responded in like a day or two. (Tora Tube)

Isnt that great how you can do that. I did that last Christmas to my parents and grandparents. This way they know what to get me without having to go to the store and look around for stuff they have no clue about. It is great for my parents who dont know anything about fishing. Or you can just do what my uncle did and get me a $50 BPS gift card. Gotta go sometime before school starts next week. For Christmas, i got: 2 360 games, rain gear for fishing, a new 50lb scale (for some reason my parents dont believe I could catch a 28lb carp), a couple DVD's, money, gift cards, and my big gift was a 19in. 1080i. HDTV. It was a good Christmas as always.

I voted KVD even though IKE is my favorite. KVD still almost caught IKE in the angler of the year standings even after getting DQ in an event.

You can do it muddy. I too have visited the dark side. But for me it was Wrigley Field. I didnt go as a Cubs fan (even though I had a cubs shirt and hat on from a previous Little league team), I went as a baseball fan (and secretly pulled for the Marlins). Thats what you gotta do. I'm glad I went and cause it was pretty cool. I think all baseball fans need to go to Wrigley once. Just ask her to take you when the Yanks play the Mets.
