Now I say I will cheer for any NL team in the series but my mind might be changed if the team that knocks out the cards makes it to the series. If the cards arent in it and the tigers are then i will cheer for them because my grandad is a tiger fan.

Dont worry Muddy, Phils are officially out of the playoffs so Mr. Howard wont be hurting any more pitchers. (except for tomorrow) Despite what the 'Stros do tonight, the cards most important regular season game might be tomorrow. If the Cards could go into the playoffs winning, then they could could cruise through the first round. Most likely it will be Cards vs. Dodgers first round and i think who ever wins that series will be off to the World Series. Im not going to make make my playoff predictions until Sunday night(or tonight if HOU loses).

Yeah, I think the twins are the yanks biggest threat. Then A's then Tigers. I am still not sold on the Tigers yet as a good playoff team untill they win their first series. The A's, Yanks, and Twins all have a good bit of playoff experience over the last 5 years but the tigers have 0. The Cards win last night and HOU loss last night felt so good. Magic number 2.(I still dont understand part of that.i mean if the cards win today and Houston wins the cards will have a 1 1/2 game lead heading into the final day. If the Cards lose sunday and Hou wins sunday the cards will have a 1/2 game lead). O wait, now i get it. They will make the Cards play monday even though they have a 1/2 game lead. Hey, what happened to all of ryan howard's homeruns? He hasnt hit a hr in like a week. Still he is 2 away from 60.

IDK about the Yanks going all the way. I still think any AL team could go to the series except the tigers. In the NL i like 1.Houston (if they make it) 2. Dodgers 3. Cardinals (if they make it) 4. Mets (If they make... just kidding) 5. Padres 6. Phillies

I dont think they should take a team from the NL this year to play in the WS. We are all that bad. It should be just two AL teams. The NL is just garbage.(Watch the NL will look like garbage and then slaughter some AL team)

It's pretty much a loss tonight and houston won today so it will only be a 1/2 GAME LEAD. This is embarissing. Here are my final predictions. STL loses tonight(obviously). 1/2game lead heading into tomorrow. Astros win tomorrow and cards lose. Saturday Astros lose to Braves and Cards beat Brewers. Astros win and Cards win on final day of the season. Cards win division. I will probably go to the ATL HOU game sunday if it determines the cards fate.

I was thinkin' about that right before last nights game senile but the big man comes through to end the streak. A lot of those games were one run loses so if albert had an rbi or two the cards wouldnt of had that streak.

I think im gonna puke. Houston comes back and ties it in the 9th (now in 11th). Stupid Tyler Johnson throws a wild pitch and lets in the leading run in the bottom of the 9th. If the cards cant pull off a victory, i think it will be johnson's 3rd loss on this streak. If Houston wins and STL cant come back.... it's not lookin' good.

At least the 'Stros are losin' by 5 tonight.

Get all the losing out of the way and the blown saves so that when we get to the playoffs we will have used all of our losses already. We wont have any more left so the only thing we can do is win. I was just thinkin about how the cards could be playin the Mets first round to. I would not be surprised if the Cards to make it to the WS If they make it to the playoffs. The national league just looks terrible. I think tonight is a must win becuase Carp is pitching. If the Cards lose tonight and the Astros win, then, I dont want to say it , but uh, I really dont like the look of this.

WOW, just looked it up. The Cards have 0 saves since IZZY has left and the last Cards save was sept. 5 almost 3 weeks ago. The Cards' bullpen has blown 7 games since their last save on sept. 5. I think 4 of them are blown saves. That isnt gonna cut it in the playoffs. Hopefully, they are just getting the blown saves out of the way so they wont blow any in the playoffs.

This is just getting ridiculous with the closers role. If we hadnt blown the last 3 games we would already be in the playoffs. I think IZZY has cursed the closers role. I wonder how many saves we have since IZZY has left.

The A's were SI's World Series winners this year but no body cares about west coast teams. They would be good if all their pitching was healthy Zito, Harden, Haren, Blanton. Danny Haren was about the only pitcher in the 2004 WS that did good for the Cards. The A's dont look to bad at all. They could be a big surprise. In the NL the only teams that are legit. contenders are Dodgers, Padres, Cards, Mets, and Phils. The only AL teams that are legit contenders are A's, Twins, Tigers, and Yanks. IMO, everyone else is out of it. It will take a huge collapse for another team to get into the mix (Less than 2 weeks left in the regular season). I would not be surprised if the Phils sneak into the playoffs after the Padres collapse. If they do then my MVP vote would go to Ryan Howard(Not the one on The Office).

LSU isnt going to win today let alone the national championship. I think there will be at least 3 teams that go undefeated until the bowls. I think USC, OSU, and WV. There could be more such as Auburn and ND. But Auburn wont go undefeated because there are to many good teams in SEC that are capable of having a great game and beating them (LSU, UF, UGA). My sister is goes to Auburn and is going to today's game. ND will not go undefeated because i have USC going undefeated. I wouldnt get to excited about that WV Maryland game because Maryland isnt nearly as good as they used to be and they still scored 24 pts.

It kind of sounds familiar. Lidge Pujols 2 outs, 1 strike, and down by 2 season on the line Cards just got lucky with Pujols. These last couple years might have been completely different without this 13 round pick.

Great cards game last night!! I had tivo'd it and was about 5 min. behind actual time. I knew Albert was going to win it in the 8th i could feel it. Then with 2 outs in the night my dad comes in and says did u see albert win the game!! Doh!! Things lookin better for the yanks as liriano gets hurt as is to probably go back on the DL.

I think the Twinkies will make it to the playoffs but i wouldnt worry to much about them stopping the yanks on the way to the WS. Right now, I wouldnt be too surprised if the Tigers dont even make the playoffs. The Twinkies arent deep enough. They could be dangerous in a 5 game series but they will not do to well in a 7 game series. They have probably the best 1,2 punch as far as starting pitchers go with santana and liriano. Unfortunately thats about it pitcing wise. Radke is ok but not great. Offensively they are OK with Morneau, Mauer, Hunter, and Cuddyer. Not big name players but they are all pretty good. Unfortunately for the Yankees they will probably be playing the Twins first round in a 5 game series. Santana, Liriano, Radke, Silva(maybe skip him), Santana, Liriano. That does not look fun for the Yanks.
