  1. Yady Yady Yady YA. VICTORY! NEXT STOP DETROIT! Cards in six.
  2. Hey NWGA, I got my first car about a year ago and i am in the same boat as you. I've got a 2000 ford ranger 4 cylinder also but only 115,000 mi. Im happy with it cause like you said it tows my boat. Mine is gold and we paid $4000 for it.
  3. Hopefully the cards are either winning by the ninth but if their not its ok if wagner is pitching. SO TAGUCHI SO TAGUCHI!
  4. Carp doesnt have two bad starts in a row.
  5. Muddy, I havent heard that in a long time, "the Cards have better pitching." But it is true. Wow how bout them Tigers going to the World Series after a walkoff HR. That seems messed up that they were done with the series before the Cards and Mets had played game 3. Enjoy the week off! Maybe that will help the NL champ in some way. The Mets pen has to be tired. With Oliver Perez pitching, they may have to go to them in the first inning or ninth inning. Cards pitching Reyes, uh oh. This game has the potential to be a great young pitching duel or a blow-out because these pitchers are so inconsistant.
  6. I have suspected Clemens of using 'roids since he came to the Astros and now people are talking about it. Well I will have to change 'roids to performance enhancing drugs because it could very well could be HGH. If he hasnt been using PEDs then good for him for staying so healthy and strong at such an old age. That just seems very unlikely.
  7. I have been dissappointed with the performance of the A's in the ALCS. I thought that their pitching would surprise everyone and their offense would get the job done. The offense hasnt done squat (in part becuase of Tiger's pitching) and I thought they would at least be able to pull out one win by now. I dont want to face the Tigers in the WS but it looks like we have to (after we win 3 out of the next 4). Im still laughing about So Taguchi. In the playoffs this year he has 2 at bats and 2 HR. During the regular season he had 316AB and 2 HR. He is a weird little man. In the playoffs he is batting 1.000, obp 1.000 and slugging 4.000. I didnt even know you could go that high in slg. I expect Taguchi to keep up with this 1 HR per AB avg. he is on. Jeter vs. Pujols i agree with senile and evidence of this is game 5 NLCS 2005.
  8. And the beast hits the game winning HR. Everybody say... SO TA GU CHI!!!!! (decent game by Speizio)
  9. I havent seen many accolades towards ARod lately.
  10. Here it comes Pujols vs. Jeter. Right now, playing or not playing, Albert is hands down the best player in the majors. Howard may have had a little bit better year this year but he wasnt hurt and this is his first good season. It takes more than one good year to be the best player in baseball. Jeter had a good year this year but it wasnt better than Pujols. And if he is so great how come he isnt playing in game 3 against the A's tomorrow. Jeter's stats are so good this year in part because look who is hitting around him. Every single player in the offense has been an allstar. Yes they had injuries but so did the Cards. Jeter still had Abreu, ARod, Giambi, Cano, and Posada hitting around him. The Yankees would have won most if not all of those world series without Jeter because of the players playing around him. With all of those players he still didnt make it to the second round this year. Pujols has carried the Cards on his back all season stumbling into the playoffs. If Albert can take this team all the way, then everyone will know he is the best player in the league.
  11. Boo. But yay because it benefits the Cards more than it hurts them. Carp can pitch game 2 if they lose game 1. I have yet to see an analyist that has picked the Cards. This is the first year in a while where we have been the underdog. I will definitely 150% not be cheering for the Mets at all in the playoffs from now on. The closest analyst to predicting the Cards winning was Tim Kurktjin who said the mets would win in 7. He brought up some good points such as the Cards have the best pitcher in the NL and the best player in baseball. Cards in 6 (changed my mind in the # games).
  12. Im high on Carpenter. He won 2 out of our 3 wins in the nlds.
  13. (except if u had pedro) GAME ON! Prediction: Cards in 5
  14. I am now sold on the Tigers. Coming into the playoffs i was still unsure about them but now i see the light. This AL series has the potential to be great pitching wise. If the Tigers are smart then they will start Verlander in game 1. GO CARDINALS! The Cards will take A Rod if they only have to pay for half of his salary.
  15. Pretty close to wrappin' it up now muddy. I was cheerin' for the Dodgers tonight though because my dad and i were gonna go to the cards game if it was a day game but since the mets are going to win it will be a night game. The last flight back to atlanta from STL is 530ish BOOO. Well I get to watch it on tv tomorrow night then. Congrats Muddy and your Mets... see you on Wednesday.
  16. Nope, looks like it will be carp vs. former card woody williams. I wish woody the worst of luck.
  17. Risk I think the Yanks would be in trouble because they would have to trade away their high paid players and a lot of teams wouldnt want to take on the old player's salary. The yanks are full of has-beens and the has-beens arent lookin good in their final game of the season.
  18. Now that we lost one i think we have to pitch Carp tomorrow because i definitely dont want Reyes pitching. I just got home from umpiring and was dissappointed to see the Cards lost and Georgia Tech not lookin' good. In college football there have been a ton of upsets today and in baseball there have been big upsets today. At least we have Carp pitching tomorrow. Against Peavy again hopefully??
  19. The Yankees would be big trouble if they made a salary cap even if it was at like $150 million. The cards at the start of the season was under $90 million but picking up weaver, Wilson, and Belliard IDK what it is now.
  20. I just got home from school so IDK if joel zumaya has pitched yet but he can throw it easily as hard as verlander on most days. Risk, I am a yankee hater. I mean with the fiercest passion until the sox beat us in the WS. Now i hate the sox with a passion and the Yankees 2nd most. So it is not as bad anymore.
  21. Mets lookin good. They faced the Dodgers #1 ace against the Mets #5 starter and still won. Who needs Pedro? (see * in my playoff predictions to see my upset team)
  22. All I have to say... Good Game.
  23. Anyone with game 1 winners? 4 me, Tigers, Twins, Cards, Mets Wow, after watching all the sports shows and reading articles nobody is going with the cards to get out of the 1st round, everyone thinks they are the worst team in the playoffs.
  24. My Predictions: Cardinals Cardinals Padres Cardinals Dodgers Mets Mets CARDINALS (6 games) Twins Twins A's Twins Yankees Yankees Tigers This may be very biased but I just think everything is going to click this year. I think and hope we will be looking back in a month and say wow remember when the Cards almost didnt even make the playoffs. I think the Yanks pitching is going to show wear and wont be able to handle the Twins pitching. I dont think the Padres are that good and up until this year the Cards have owned the Padres during the regular season and post season. I dont think the pads are deep enough and i dont think their pitching is that great. I had to change my vote from dodgers to mets for one reason, Carlos Beltran. Two years ago he tore it up in the playoffs I think he will carry the Mets through the division series. I think the Cards will be carried by one player past the Mets, Albert Pujols. I expect him to go crazy during the playoffs and will do like Beltran did 2 years ago. I think that the cards pitching will be good enough to win the World Series against the Twins. I think Santana will be good but none of the other Twins pitchers will be good enough. Cards win in 6 MVP: Albert Pujols. The Cards will win despite the domination of the AL the last couple years. Cards have the playoff and World Series experience to go all the way unlike every other NL team and the Tigers. The A's and the Twins dont have any playoff experience past the first round. *dont forget about the A's pitching they could be a big upset team( they were picked by SI as the World Series champs at the beginning of the year vs. the Cards)
  25. yyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Braves!!! Thank you!! Now lets see who gets to face Carp in game 1.
