  1. I picked one up not long ago with a 8.3 ratio for my big stick, and all my others are TPs, and boogy Man pretty much sumed it up I cant tell the differance outside of the handle, and the MB has a shiney paint where as the TP is matted

  6. I'm not much of a matcher either just as long as i like im good to go, there are to many nice rods & reels out it would take me for ever to match things up,m but if I get lucky and it all matches even better
  7. never used an Energy so put me down in the TP camp
  8. As the others have said the fad has paased and I never saw may catch rate go up with them, I still have some laying wround that I got a good deal on that I'll use to replace hooks when needed, and in short order the red has worn off and now I have a non red sharp hook.
  9. I think they like floro better I would think what ever line copany they are using makes a braid also and they could use that if they felt it was better for them unless the sponser wants them to use & push floro. I dont think a pro would risk using a line from a non sponser thats a fast way to be out of the sponser buisness
  10. Congrats looking forward to your review.
  11. I was wondering the same thing I checked the web site and either I cant find the info on how it works or it not there.
  12. Hey Fisherrw thanks for the info I have been loking at the M1s also but since I fish pond fish out of a tube and only take 3 rods with me and only use a spinning rod about 20% of the time im kinda having a hard time spending the extra $$, but it's not out of the question as of yet. when I fished turneys back in the late 80's in LV i had a couple of Phenix rods & liked them alot and i still have a old Phenix I bought as a flipping stick, that just kinda sits aound now execpt for slamming pike
  13. I'm looking at replacing my *** 13 that i gave to my daughter this year since she caught her biggest bass on it, and have been looking around for another $100.00 or so spinning rod and the Phenix Maxim has cought my eye, there really isnt any reviews out there I could find. Has any one played with one by chance? I'll have to order online since there is no dealers here in Colorado. Thanks Rich
