i have 3 ALX and 2 H3 like GReb said build quality is about the same they both use micros but the guides on the ALX seem more durable. i have had to replace a guide on the H3. If it where me I would jump the the Expride it beat them both across all categories, build sensitivity etc

I bought my first one this year and its been flawless great little reel for the price point

I have both rods and those weights scream FMJ, the Daemos is a sweet rod but its better suited for single hook moving baits like a swim bait, swim jig

I have 2 FMJ and its never crossed my mind to toss frogs with it. I agree with FW it way over kill in the sensitivity dept for frogs, but its one hell of a bottom contact rod

I'll add to what every one said do what the most comfortable for you. I cast my bait casters with my left hand and reel with my right, and with spinning I cast with the right and reel with my left. been doing it my whole life

Punch hit the nail on the head, I have 2 FMJ & Daemos and will be adding a Vivaldia & Adermine also. they replaced my NRX 894, 854, 873, and 843, and have moved my ALX rods to other duties in my hands I was hard pressed to find a $200.00 difference in sensitivity VS the NRX The Megabass to me are better built, and balance great with my curados right at the reel seat nut. My NRX all needed a chair cap with some quarters to balance with the exception of the 843

Megabass FMJ probably have to go the used route but they are sweet

The Daemos is next on my list, and will be using it for the same as you light T rig applications. I have FMJ and love them sold all of my NRX and moving to the Destroyers

Here is a copy of a review I did on the Game changer over at TT, there is a few reviews on the pro bass line TT even did a review on them and it's in the archive section. I ordered a G-Rod Game Changer 7' med hvy, and was able to put some turny time on the water with it this weekend. For a comparison I used it against my ALX ZOLO's, I have the Toad face & Dragger and was looking to add a 7'ish rod to handle tubes T rigged worms or anything bottom contact in 3/16 to about 5/16 give or take, so I wanted to play with this rod to see if I could skip adding an ALX deputy. The build is very nice, the guide train is straight nothing out of place. the guide are kinda big not micro for sure. The rod looks great also not overly done cool enough for your buddies to ask what rod is that and want to check it out. Balance it balanced right in front of the locking nut with a lew's TP, and a little closer with a Curado so for me it balances perfect rod weight I didn't place it on a scale, but it wasn't has light in my hand as my 7'2" Toad face and no where close to a 7' Tatula Sensitivity is very good, but not way above it's price point, it was just as sensitive as all the other rods in its price point I have used, but not in the NRX range of sensitivity The rod action is stiff for a med hvy lots of tip and a boat load of back bone. it was the stiffest med hvy I have ever used it felt like it leaned towards a heavy action. I found it hard to cast 3/16 - 5/16 lures compared to all the other rods I have owned. ( Dyobins HP, NRX, Diawa tatula, Crono's, Zillion, ***, Powel. the grip / locking nut is bigger than I expected it's the 1st rod I have ever used where after 30 or so min it became uncomfortable to me. I palm my reel where my index finger can touch the line, and i found it very uncomfortable. I used the rod with both a Lew TP & a Curado it was better with the TP since it has a smaller profile I ended up getting rid of the rod, and going with the deputy

Thanks for the review, I picked up a couple of I my first go around with Shimano, i have used Lews TP's in the past and so far I'm liking the reel, but from reading other reviews and the spec's on the K it has a smaller profile than the I which I would like a lot. Am I the only one but man that picture you posted is in extreme HD great pic

Yudo1 is correct all those rods are considered great rods in their price point, I can help with the ALX in my hands the Zolo is more sensitive than the Ikos. I use the Zolo's as bottom contact only rods. I have always wanted to try a Kistler, but their actions kinda confuse me with all the moderate actions and how they would fit me has bottom rods.

I only use floro leaders on my spinning rods when drop shoting or shakey heads, the only time I use brain on a BC is when I'm fogging or flipping vegetation, when flipping wood, bushes I use floro, braid cuts into the branches. all other times its floro or mono for top water. you will get lot's of tips' and opinions, but it comes down to trial and error for what fits you best

I just checked mine, and it looks like the inside of the nut is plastic lined of some sort? I have moved my rees on and off all 3 Tat's and not a mark on the foot of the reel.

The Tatula is hard to beat, you can also pick up on the used market ALX, and they are sweet also. all the suggestions so far you can go wrong with either

I use Owner, siebert, and Picasso. siebert for when i'm using a bigger 6"+ bait and either Owner or Picasso for the smaller stuff just depends on what I grab for those

I have Tatula MR and its a great square bill rod, and i agree with the others great rod for the price. I would like to ask the folks who are using the Zillions is there a big enough difference in the zillion vs the TAT for the extra $100.00 or so cost for the Zillon
