  1. I have them rigged with Trokar 5/0 HD worm hooks, how can I fish them? Weightless? Texas? Carolina?
  2. I have a Pflueger president ( I've had many but they are all mine, this one is a gift for someone ) I don't wanna go overboard on the rod price. I spent enough sending it in to get custom bearings and gears. I want a rod that's under 60 dollars that's reliable. I'm leaning towards the Sellus. It seems to have fairly good reviews and I picked one up for myself for my baitcaster but I've never looked at the spinning rod Sellus. Is it any good? I want it to match. It has to match. Any ideas? NOTE: The gift is for my girl so, it has to match She doesn't fish anything technique specific, random lures, torpedos, drop shots, tubes, cranks, spinnerbaits. The Sellus seem pretty good for an all around rod, this'll be her first really nice setup. She had my old Pflueger Arbor but that's it. This is her first real combo. She isn't allowed on Bass Resource till after her birthday haha, she'd see this if I told her not to. Thanks guys.
  3. Always put the combo first! Hahaha, yeah, that potomac is terrible, I love fishing it but man.. That MRSA infection I got was scary. Gotta watch out.
  4. USE A MUSTAD HOOK! Lol! I've only caught one of those & it was like 2lbs
  5. Does anybody own one of these? I'm looking at getting one.
  6. Same here in VA, all the farm ponds are down. Getting 6" of rain hopefully
  7. This is probably the stupidest thing I've done, last year in December on the Potomac river while fishing alone in my kayak, I was back in a crystal clear creek with about 10 feet of water, you could see the bottom. I snagged my LC Swimbait on a log, took all my clothes off and jumped in, I got down there and the line got wrapped around the the log and snagged. Once I got done I got to shore and grabbed a towel out of my dry bag. I was freezing. Didn't realize the danger till that evening. Haha.
  8. I have a Calcutta, a small one from the early 2000's I got used, I have to say it's pretty durable.
  9. Mines like 145,074 feet. Yeah.
  10. You coulda caught em It's okay it happens to all of us, even KVD, other than that I don't see anything wrong with what you did, seems like he got off by chance.
  11. Out with my girlfriend's family, got 12 rods out, no luck yet.. Hopefully we get some rockfish, it's a pretty nice day, 1ft waves, overall it's pretty good. I'm like 10 miles from the Bay Bridge. Trolling is not like bass fishing. Haha.
  12. I do this with all my rods, or just about all, no damage so far, I do a spiral texture.. If it does cause it to get sticky, it's nothing a magic eraser can't fix:)
  13. they are good reels, any idea what you're gonna put it on?
  14. I have 4 of those babies!!! I love them!!!!!! I have a Daiwa millionaire on my packers, I've caught stripers, snappers, a baby shark and catfish on those!!
  15. I get sexy shad and chartreuse lipless crankbaits made by Cordell and Luhr Jenson and I line the lures in my bedroom window to fade the bright colors. I think Iaconelli does this too, I'm not sure.
  16. My chest got a 3rd degree sunburn when I was out kayaking.. I was in tears for a week, it cracked and bled, pus oozing. Hair follicles won't grow so my chest looks waxed in a spot haha.
