i got the 2012 eye candy book in the new bass magazine and i had a question, they have one that is 8.1 gear ratio, i know about the IPTs are differant, so my question is, is this a super fast 8 gear reel or is abus IPT differant and it is a like a 7;3 in other reels.. i remember talking to a Abu dealer at the spring classic and the 7:9.1 mgx is like most regular companies 7.1 thanks for the help guys

the grand slam mono is grand sh%t , bought 2 spools, and is awful, twist and the one spool was weak flung 2 lures of with line snaps, i do a palmer and have never had problems with snaps or break-offs(unless I needed to) all my life.. sorry buddy, but you got you some goood tomato staking line

chilli, i really couldnt tell ya man,my favorite type of fishing is topwater so my veritas(buzzbaits) and compre(frogs) get takin out often and i just like the compre better, i do know bps carries them, so ya may just wanna get ya hands on one, now in a whole new argument i do love full cork handles better, but comparing the 2 split grips above, deff, a compre.

my veritas is 7' mh, this is my opnion, but i like my compre better, for the price point i think shimano has made the compre nicer, i do love the thumb grip better on the veritas, have you had a chance to hold both and mount a reel on them

experiance to me and eduction is the best, i 100% know if i could get off the shore and have any kind of a boat, i'd be better, no a pro, i fish 5 days a week in the same spots (ran out of new shore, well i could travel and would have an empty tank) , and if the bass are were i can reach i get, if not i dont, i think i am skilled enough at a couple of boat landing to catch em. I am a descent shore angler though if they aint they, they aint there,, if i had a boat i could hunt em down lol

i have veratas and compre, i love my compre rod for frogs, I use the worm and jig 7'2 H, i have it paired with a smoke and it is pretty balenced

i know there mojo frog rod is to stiff,for me and i use a XH daiwa ballstic for some of my pitchen and frogs, i love my premier cranking rod, depends on how mutch slop you fish, i need a heavy in junk i fish in ponds, but when i am on my home lake, H is probably overkill

man before i figured in my neck of the woods, dingers caught em the same, i was blowing mad money on watermelon and G pumpkin, the whole month of august i was slaying them in the 1.5 range, heck i was serious thinking if catching them was even worth the cost, then the whole family started fishing, i move to dingers then to the Gander or bps big bags..

only the worm bait, when i am fishing for bait, super small hooks, quick gills, lead to big catfish on cutbait, we have to many gills for a bass or anything else to get it.. hell, i swear i have seen turtles follow my line down, i get a tug, reel in and my worms gone, condition science to the max

yea the h2o stuff is good, or if a bps is near ya, get a pro qualifer on sale, then a berk lightning rod, it will last ya a long time

I have 2 mirco guides, i cant tell the differance in distance or anything, hell, it is harder to line, if i am breaking somthing off and the line slides through an eye or 2, hot and sweating on the shore its a witch to do.
