  1. man it finally happened, i parked on a hill, taking the rod out of the car and the door went shut, even with rod jacket my mojo rod snapped about 5 inches down from the tip. so lucky me i have a warrenty from DIcks, my problem or question begins... So when i bought the the mojo i used 2 of my earned 10 dollar gift cards from dicks and the 10 of of 50.00, so i paid around 70 for the mojo, so DIcks gives you a gift card of what you paid instead of a swap, you see my problem, Next part. it is only a buzzbait rod, I have looked at some triumphs, i like them and the full handle, so my meat and bones question is? when we are talkign lower level croixs and since it is only for buzzbaits, is there a super differance in the rods. i am no super judge, but it seems the triumph is a bit lighter. i have avids and premiers but i fish buzzbaits and dont really want to put any more cash in it. Would you fork the 100 for the mojo or just go with Triumph abd break even... Plus the is a heaveness in the mojo, idk maybe the tip, or it may be me
  2. I cant wait for the new issue, love the topwater follow articles, heck i missed on on a buzzbait and followed up with a trick and BAM.. yalls mag is great
  3. on heavy pads, LT or a kvd, they have rattles or insert rattles into LT, i would think that may help
  4. i said i wouldnt but i beleive i am getting a second setup just for em, a okuma komodo, anyway what is best hooks and sizes for em i see alot of 4/0 at my walmart, they are the ribbit brand hooks and gammys. How many use the double hook VS a EWG? or is there a time and place, I will be running these frogs acoss unnholy sludge and slop.
  5. thanks guys, will spool it up then
  6. d**n you beat me to, i thought of that and was gonna post after i got done reading the comments, heck i heard the regualr viscious is better than this.... that is saying alot
  7. i use alot of lines, idk why, though Ppro and sunline are staples. My grandma picked me up some sensation in orange color, i believe it is 15 lb. would this be a good topwater line. It said a small diameter mono, so idk.. whats the opnion on here. She knows my fav color was orange and it was on sale
  8. i have the 7MH moderate premier and i love it, mind you it has less than 10 bass under its hood, i have paired with e a citica, i didnt like the mojo and at time couldnt afford the avid, I am happy with this

  12. looked in senko locked, but i might have missed it, anyway whats yalls opnions on this type wacky rigged, stick style baits are deadly in the ponds i fish, this could be more than deadly, anyway whats yalls thoughts. also i have only seen bps brands, are they ok to use, i usally shy away from there brands, but cant seem to find any other brand
  13. yea, i hope i have enough braid leftover to try it,
  14. hey i am using a croix mojo MH F with an okuma centrix, mojos are not my favorite, but it works, my question is what line, i have been using 15 lb grnd slam mono, then i moved to 12 then back to 15, i was thinking of moviing to 50 lb braid, i missed a few tonite, yea i know it happens but for me i fish buzzbaits alot and know it may be my line, so whats ya fav for line and if braid what your fav test, i do have spare 50, thats why i suggested it
  15. hey not to hijack, but how do ya use your pliers to pull the hooks. do you do it up or out
  16. froggin is adicting, and yea get a fast reel and H rod, i use the 7:3 gear ratio, i wish you luck in ya frogging
  17. First time yesterday, i got a backlash so bad i had to cut it out, this was a small country town with only a normal walmart. I had to buy spiderwire ez braid, went back to the lake and spooled it up, i did not like it, it felt weird compared to Power pro and suffix. i am no braid pro, bit it felt slick to me, i did catch a few more bass, and the braid handled well but i think i am gonna spool it back on, take it back or somthing i just cant get used to it, Does anyone like it over PP or suffix. Am i just used to Powe pro
  18. i was wanting to say aswell, in fishing it is better to wait for what you want.... me personally, id get a pro qualifer, bps, on sale for 80, but if ya cant wait, just spend 100 for the PQ, next check/money etc... get ya a rod, lightning isnt the best but it will do, just save up, there is alot of descent rods in the 70-100.00
  19. i only use plastics with spinnng, trust me last year i was new to BC and all i wanted to do is cast with spinning, i dont say it as an opnion, i say it as a fact, you have to learn baitcasting. jus it openss the door to lots of things.. i stil have 4 spinning rods, but mainly take BC out, and the lightning rod is pretty good, my bro has one
  20. yea Prpo, suffix 832 is pretty bad@ss as well, i do use the infused fire on my wacky, pretty descent.
  21. hey i have a good ole pitchen jig i call chris brown... it is a black and blue color..
  22. thank you guys so mutch, it started raining while i was loading up, i put the rod in the car, the down pour happens for about 30 mins, so when thw rain stops i jump in the car, and hurry to lake, I'll be danged, if i forgot my tackle bag, thank god i had a buzzbait already tied on my other rod, or i would a made the trip with no lures.... my my.. but agian thanks i am headin out Friday, and will give the advice a try, and yea i picked up so net bait and rage craws today to try ps.. gotta hawg on the buzz, and she got off right when went to get her, biggest bass ever on a buzz, it was hell of a battle
