  1. +1 Follow the bait. You see some dark minnows trembling in a group at the bank, then throw a similar lure a feet yards out in front of them and bring into the bank.
  2. Bill Dance. Dagummit!!!!!!! Lol
  3. A friend of mine had a guy that let him fish his pond before he and I became friends. The guy let others fish the pond too. It was a beautiful spot to fish days my friend. However the other folks left trash, etc and the guy didn't let anyone fish it again. Been that way for years. Now he is up in age and won't even speak to most people. Good point man.
  4. The pics attached are at the pond. About 2.5 acres. Water temps 65. Air temps 81. Today was a good day. :-)
  5. This was my parents neighborhood pond. The lake was Lake Wheeler
  6. My 7 year old using her baitcaster like a champ! These were on shallow cranks and jigs.
  7. The other day I posted up about issue with spawn in NC. It was so hard. Well today, was like a switch turned on!! There were bass on beds everywhere! 65 degree water temps and my daughter and I tore em up with jigs, worms, and shallow jointed cranks.
  8. I just bought some jerk baits too. :-)
  9. I'm going to look structure and drop points too. ;-)
  10. The electronics shows me the hard and soft bottoms and I can easily find those kinds there also. I was thinking maybe throw a 3-5 foot square bill at the bank and bring it in towards the deep water. Or am I better off throwing to the center and bringing back towards the bank?
  11. So should I move to the crank bait more?
  12. Mostly the neon green snot grass and some downed trees.
  13. Last week in NC water temps were in the 50-51 degree range due to 50-55 degree air temps. This week the air temps shot to spring at 79-85 degrees. Water temps the last 4 days have been 60-63 at all the ponds and lakes. On the electronics the deep water shows pretty much nada. Shallow bass have hit my minnow swim bait about 2-3 feet. Pretty much depths between 2 feet and deep open water I'm skunked. What are the patterns usually? Are they getting to shallow to feed or to spawn? What should I throw and where? Is this still pre spawn? Or have they spawned already? I heard water temps need to be in the 70's.
  14. A world record is one in the "wild" not in "captivity". I can feed a bass and get it vet check ups, vitamins, etc and in a few years set the hook on a monster. But that would be cheating. Find the beast that nature made and call it a record. My .02 cents.
  15. Now I want to go fish that pond Hi Salenity fishes. :-)
  16. Just read my issue in the mail. Sounds like "fish in a barrel" to me.
  17. Keep a roll of toilet paper. And a quiet spot on the bank. Been there.......
  18. No body can eat just one.......
  19. The sound of "whip" as I set the hook on a monster bass!!! Other than that, no music.
  20. wrat, Simply amazing read!! Thanks sooooo much for sharing.
  21. Just watched the BR video on takahiro. He made good points about how he just enjoys it. He said he came with no sponsors, nothing from japan. Just got out and did it. He wanted it bad enough.
